I think you are going to see some movement for RBs at the top of the 2nd. With Swift, Taylor and Dobbins all there teams could be patient and not stress if 1 of them got picked. With KC taking Edwards-Helaire other teams are going to not want to be left out.

I believe the theory is that you reduce the cases to a low enough number that you can trace and isolate them to stop the out of control spread. The problem is that the US is so behind on testing. That is why everyone needs to be calling on the federal govt to step up their response and increase testing immediately. The fed has wasted almost 5 months now. We should be reopening, but without a competent federal govt who knows what will happen.

Greg, I do share a portion of the blame. Perhaps if I had done more I could have convinced more people to vote against Trump. I knew the danger that he posed, but I tried to be optimistic that the institutions of the US were strong enough to check the President. That at the worst case scenario we would have 4 years of chaos that resulted in stagnation. I was wrong. With competent leadership we wouldnt be here. We should be the SK and Germany of the world, but instead I am having to go online and try and refresh websites to try and obtain certain supplies that are scarce. If you vote for Trump youre not a moderate. History will make it very clear, if anything, we were not critical enough of Trump for the previous 3 years.

No one is missing your point, we are all just completely aghast that you are making the point in the first place. The fact that this has to be said, shows that he is completely unfit to be the assistant to my secretary.

As we found less than 50% of the population was responsible for speeding up our demise. Hes the President of the United States, we shouldnt be making excuses for him. We claim we are the best health, best science and all that, and what has it gotten us so far when we really needed it? We have a President floating ideas that are so stupid, that we cant hold him accountable because they are so dumb that no one should even consider them? That is exactly what is wrong with our country right now. That some people still think we need to make excuses for the person who is supposed to be running our country. Im an optimistic person, but when I look at my kids, I wonder if on my watch our world got changed for the worse. I did my little part, I argued as hard as I could, but its still on my damn watch that this shit went down. Its unbearable that as I a normal person take more responsibility for this calamity than the President. And Im sorry if you think its cute to argue about it, but what is happening right now isnt cute, its not funny, its possibly the worst disaster in the history of the US. And our govt still has no sustainable plan.

Im sorry Im not going to give a pass to the person who is in charge of a country who should be at the forefront of science and finding a way to resolve this crisis. The President is providing a briefing every day, isnt the point of the briefing that he is supposed to be providing the US valuable information on how to get through this? We should be able to trust/listen to the President. Its absurd that we are living in a society where we should tune out the President and not hold him accountable for the statements that he makes. It gives no credence to his statements. Absolutely none.

If he told people to inject bleach and they did it, yes hed have culpability. He is the President of the US his words matter and have consequences. The best thing he can do is be quiet and let professionals take over. This isnt about Democrat or Republican anymore, its about trying to salvage ourselves from disaster. He needs to either man up or get out of the way.

I have this dark feeling that If by the end of May they dont have it under control I think they are just going to give up. Im not saying this is the right decision, just I cant see the current administration being able to fight it longer than that. This is a self inflected wound and we only have ourselves to blame.

This is the reason Im not going to crazy over the Wisconsin ruling about election postponement. I could already see Trump trying to pull something like indefinitely suspending the election.

Same way I handled the last 3 years, try and do good, try and set a good example, do what I can to blunt the damage to society. I dont even think his greatest enemy could have predicted the damage he would do to our society.

And in John Calhoun's opinion slavery was good. One opinion will be right in the future, one will be wrong. Your comparison to China makes no sense, US was built on immigration and has had its greatest economic success during times when it experienced high immigration. Immigration is the US greatest strength and what has allowed our country to rapidly outpace since its inception. https://www.cato.org/research/immigration Cato which was founded by the Koch brothers even recognizes the error in immigration policy. /shrug Restricting immigration is a failed economic policy and that is why Adam Smith argued against the restriction on movement of labor.

I think that anyone who wants to become a citizen of the United States should be given the opportunity, just like my family was when they immigrated here. I think that anyone who immigrates here should have the same responsibilities, rights and benefits as any other American citizen. Nothing is free. I think that we need to ascertain the economic costs of paying for uninsured going to hospitals and receiving treatment versus the benefit of them having some sort of coverage. Im not sure I have an answer to it, but there is definitely a better system then the one that currently exists.

If a law is not just the people who break it should not be punished. Immigration laws are unjust, they are no different than slavery, laws against interracial marriage, segregation and apartheid. They are born from the same beliefs. The future will judge those who made them and supported them with the same disdain. We do not have a monopoly on freedom or opportunity. This country is everyones, and the quicker we kill your ideas the faster we will recover. This whole us and them bullshit got us into this mess.

I think that this is going to change how we travel, how we conduct business, how we manage biological security. I think you are going to see dramatic changes in how the US looks at virus and other disease research. Im just saying if the US completely changed life over a fluke terrorist attack, what is society (not just the US) going to do over a pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill.

Unfortunately I think this is going to change our lives more than 9/11. 9/11 was a stupid fluke terrorist attack. This impacted human civilization.
