If Wright doesnt get that injury under control, and keeps pitching the way he is right now, he wont make it. In that case, I would go with Buerhle, Colon, Garland, Rauch, Loaiza. Loaiza should be fifth because he's a veteran, and should be able to handle not pitching every 5th day, while a rookie like Rauch just needs to get on his rhythm and pitch regularly.

No way did Mark turn down that $27 million deal. If he did, then either he really wants to escape the Sox, or he was never the player I thought he was.

Exactly, we do not NEED a third catcher. A veteran and a rookie are enough to keep us going. Hopefully, its gonna be Rios, Graffanino, Daubach, Alomar, and Harris/Miles. An extra infielder is alot more useful than a catcher thats gonna catch probably once every two weeks.

This is not a bad choice, it gives us more flexibility. But I'm sure we all would have liked to see his locked up.

I agree that we could use a left-handed presence like the great Ken Griffey Jr. However, I think the Sox could definitely spend that money (he makes around $15M a year I believe) more wisely. I'd rather see us spend $15M on pitching (either to sign Colon/Buehrle to long-term deals) -- this team should have enough offense. If we get a healthy Griffey, wow, Griffey Thomas Ordonez Konerko. That would probably be the best 4 right there. But I wouldn't take my chances with Griffey, he is way too risky. I agree clujer, we should spend our money on signing guys like Buerhle to long term deals.

So what the hell is the Hak part? A second first name, a middle name or the beginning of his last name? Why the hell can't they make life easier for us? ...the exact number I figure Maggs will hit this year although my gut says he'll have 3-4 multi-hr games.... ...as for Frank, I HOPE he doesn't hit 48 homers, cause I think he will be more productive and achieve a higher avg and obp hittin line drives all over the f***ing place hitting .335 and having a nice 32, 125 year... ...but of course if he ends up .335 WITH 48 dingers, I WON'T f***ING COMPLAIN!! Actually, I wouldnt mind seeing Thomas with 48 homers and a sub .280 average. I want MAGGS to be the one having all-around numbers, instead of trying to hit 40 somedin homers. Maggs is too valuable to be trying to swing to the fences all the time.

Thanx for the update Yep, the great pitching is showing up these last couple of days, but the offense has been quiet, aside from some solo hrs. Right as I say this the Sox give up a bundle of runs lol. The score is now 5-3 going into the top of 9 for Oaktown. Rontrez Johnson homered off of Tom Gordon in the top of the 8th. SIDE NOTES -Rocky Biddle go the win today for Montreal. -Johan Santana pitched some scoreless innings for the W today in a victory over Cleveland. Oh great. I will shut up now. No chance for the Sox
