  1. I would also have to disagree. Didn't we have an argument before about the All-Star game? It went something like: they shouldn't require a player from every team, just whos the most deserving.. Well I think that would be the same argument here, it should be the ones that are most deserving. And of course if one of our players are deserving, than I vote for them over all others. But voting for a guy like Clayton or Josh Paul will just be a wasted vote cause they're never gonna make it. I'd rather vote for other players that I like on other teams. Isnt it all about voting for the players you like? And I do not like ALL sox players. IF we got a guy like Clayton in the All-Star game last year, that would a be team disgrace, not team pride.

    10 days!

Not that theres anything wrong with that, is there?
  3. 3 starters could be realistic, if they're all having great seasons, although I dont quite see Colon beating out Pedro, Zito, and all the other guys as the starting AL pitcher.

  5. I agree clujer. If we're gonna stick with Rowand, we need to play him day in and day out. Im pretty sure he's capable of hitting .270 with a .350 OBP. He's not going to turn into an Ichiro anytime soon, but he could be a very solid centerfielder, that is, without injuries or JM's tinkering.
  6. Alfonsecas gonna be out till May..good luck with the deal
  7. MLB Article According to Schlegel, Rowand, along with Doug Davis, Casey Fossum, Toby Hall, and Chris Hammond, are players who have shown a glimpse of promise but needs to take that to whole different level in 2003.

    10 days!

9 days, 19 hours Im starting to smell it
  9. lol I didnt see witesoxfan's post at first, I basically repeated everything he said
  10. This should go under the fantasy league forum but anyways.. I say no go. Sheffield and Maggs have basically the same power. And while Castillo might have a better average and more steals, Soriano's gonna get you alot more points from his homers and ERAs. Keep Soriano, he's way too valuable.
  11. Josh Stewart the win, Bootcheck(?) the loss Stewart continues to dominate, he's putting up a good fight for the 5th spot
  12. Bottom 9th Koch (28 years old) in for the Sox -Fullmer: hard-hit ball to Borchard, Joe having trouble w/ ball, standup double for Fullmer, man on 2nd nobody out -Koch walks Nieves on 4 straight...1st and 2nd, nobody out -Koch whiffs Davanon, 1st and 2nd 1 out -Burke to Harris to Konerko DOUBLE PLAY, Koch gets out of the jam and preserves his 0.00 ERA in 8 apperances 5-0 SOX SHUTOUT CHAMPS
  13. Hey, just got home, guess I'll do updates for the final inning. the Top 9th Percy comes in for Angels (Percival's 33 years old ) *Sox scored 4 in 2nd inning Konerko goes full count before going down looking on a Percy fastball (Paul's 3rd K this game), 1 out Aaron Miles grounds out to Figgins, 2 outs Joe Borchard hits double that one-hops the wall Percy wild pitch sends Borchard to third, still 2 down Jamie Burke fouls out, 3 outs 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 stranded Going to bottom of ninth, 5-0 Sox
  14. Oh what pitiful uniforms they had in 2001. The wings were just plain old ugly, glad the Halos are back.
  15. crede you've got a KILLER lineup there that will just CARRY you through the season, and your pitching is not bad either, but you could always do with another closer.
  16. What about Garland? Did you see his stuff? He's gonna be great this year...
  17. I don't think they're using "crash" in relation to his dirtbike accident as much as in relation to his wreckless abandon on the field. I think a more appropriate name for the jersey would have been his nickname ("Robocop", I think it is). Although, that might get some people mad due to copyright reasons. Yeah, I think its more a joke on his outfield recklessness than his accident. And hey..hes laughing too, aint he?
  18. Lol thats probably my favorite part about WS2K2..u can bean them anywhere:D
  19. ...................Winner ..........
  20. One piece of advice: Make sure the person that grades it is a Sox fan
  21. Pretty good team, capable of racking up lots of points. A great 1-2-3 combo there with Maddux/Buerhle/Hudson. I think your offense needs more help than pitching. I also like the Maggs/G.A. combo there.
  22. Ahh yes, Halladay. But imo Spivey is OVERrated.
  23. Im gonna add Abreu, Delgado, and Giles to that list. Not many casual baseball fans are aware of their greatness, simply because they're on non-contending teams.
