i agree wsf, if frank hits well, the whole lineup lights up
  5. so we're talking world series winner every year or lifetime sex? i'll go with the world series, i'll never get tired of that, the sex will come naturally
  6. Hey....that just made me think of a great poll question for all....would you rather win a World Series(while kicking the s*** out of the Twins in the regular season....and it would be sweet as hell if we did it in the ALCS as well) or would you rather have sex with a porno star? I'm thinking this could go onto the off-topic board here very quick-like. now how many world series and how much sex are we talking about?
  7. yes but if i did that as a choice, there wouldnt be much choice anymore would there?
  8. And you wonder why nowone likes you sry wsc someone had to say it
  9. funny u should mention him, bighurt, i was just thinking about him yea i would luv to get spivey here along with pujols, guerrero, ichiro, a-rod, and zito
  10. so we win in 2003, and then for the next 49 years would be happy to have a cubs like record? Every year, year in and year out, suck? For 49 years? I am 50 years old. I may never see a world series title in my life but I'd sure as hell prefer to be in the playoffs every year rarther than suck for 49 years. If we had the Faustian choice, as we are presented with it here, I'd rather be good all the time than suck for 49 years, having a clue of how long that is. Now i admit im way too young to realize how long 49 years really is, but consider this...you would make it every year, but every single year, you come THIS close to wining it all, but you never quite did it. People look to see who went to the ws, who wins it all, and in the record book, the sox's last ws will still remain at 1959. you would torture yourself every year, and pretty soon you will probably not even care at all. but its ur opinion, and i respect that

As for me, i used to live in Chicago before my parents dragged me down here to Southern Cali...but i swear i'll forever be loyal to the one and only white sox
  12. yes we'd be well respected if we made playoffs every year, but no one would actually take us seriously. Everyone sees how great the Braves play in the regular season, and eveyrone sees how they fail in the postseason. I would rather win it all every 50 years than getting my heart broken year after year. World series win every 50 years, it would be something more worth celebrating and much more memorable, dont ya think?
  13. Would you rather see the sox win it all this year and suck afterwards (marlins) or see the sox make playoffs nearly every year from now but never win the ws (similar to braves) I would rather see them win it all right now, and that would probably be enough for my lifetime, instead of breaking my heart every year.
  14. There are quite a few third basemens i would take over glaus, including pujols, rolen, chavez, nevin, probably even koskie. i dunno, i respect glaus, but he just isnt my type of player

I've noticed that almost all sox posters here at soxtalk are either from chicago or cali. iz it just that cali has a great population? wuts up with that? where r U from?
  16. When in doubt, blame RPS. personally, i blame it all on genetics, cant go wrong with that
  17. welcome back, hope ur pumped up for a real magical season
  18. dont i feel stupid
  19. i'll go with K Vining 2-5, 2.87 ERA, 47 IP, 25BB, 35 K's in AAA looks good to me
  20. astroturf..white roof...dont even mention the homer hankys
  21. if its purely offensive numbers jose should be higher than 15..his power alone from a ss is a huge advantage in most fantasy leagues i guess its not all power-rbi numbers because eckstein was in front of valentin, but 15 out of the ss positions pretty darn good, though i kno this is strictly FANTASY ratings
  22. no offense at all heather but imo that is nothing to be proud of...i'd like to see guys just start running and not make that much of a big deal of it..unless its their first ever homer...i dont wanna c any of our guys turning into sosa-bonds type guys and how da hell IS bellhorn in front of crede
  23. LOL heather ur obsessed with this...but thanx for contributing
  24. nope, as all these guys informed me of, crede is ineligible
  25. i think the sox need to run a little more (finally a new running coach) and im glad that their defense will be upgraded...and they should play a little more "small ball" , bunt and set up runners for da big guys up there. im way too tired of seeing them start a pretty good inning and then strand them cuz they failed to advance the runners
