QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) Crede wont be on the team next year anyway because of Scott Boras Cheesus lice... crede is not a free agent at the end of the year.
-
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Why would widger play for the second time is 2 days? Second time in three days... and that is because he is awesome.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) Wish we could get some rain up here in Lake County. Grass is dry and brown. I have not cut my grass in over a month because it has all died basically.

Will Bulls make playoffs this year?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) Yeah I know, so we'll probably have to settle for someone like Jason Terry. But having no state income tax in Florida is always a plus to free agents. And if the Suns do retain Johnson, they'll gonna be really hav a lot of money tied up in a couple of players when it comes time to lock of Amare, plus he's from Orlando as well. He is a restricted free agent... so he will not be walking. -
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) With the amazing amount of homers that he gives up, imagine him at the Cell. He would set the all time record.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) With all the Burnett and Schmidt talk going on around here, the Joe Randa talk has died down recently. But, I was watching the Reds/Rockies game (Free trial of MLB Extra Bases), and they mentioned a handfull of scouts that were attending the game. One of them was from the White Sox. Now, I can only assume that they're scouting Joe Randa, but Eric Milton is pitching too, so they may be looking at him as well (kind of uneasy about that). Anyways, with Crede's back issues and struggles at the plate, I think a move for Randa could be a good one. Not to mention that I don't think we'd have to give up a ton for him. Your thoughts? Milton was just signed by them this off-season and it is doubtful they are trading him this year. If the sox ever got milton i may just quit watching them... i know at the very least i would not watch any game he ever started. Never heard about that randa rumor though...

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 06:22 PM) You say playoffs, we say finals down here. Hopefully we can get a big FA like Yao Ming or Amare Stoudemire next off-season, we'll have the cap room to do so. Chances are either of them go is probally like 0.4%. -
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) the wigenator :headshake

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) agian? we just saw him yesterday We have won three this series and even though pierzynski got a hit today he has not looked good at the plate for a long time. It's not like we have lost much... if anything from pierzynski to widger this year.

Trade shingo please. -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Good...I just see everyone drooling about him and personally I think they are crazy. It also makes no sense that they would trade someone they have control over for the next four years or so. They need to add talent at the major league level without subtracting it. They have a good enough sytem ( and free agent money in the next two years) that trading young major leaguers should not be needed.

Shingo is in. -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) So I take it I'm the lone person that thinks he's over-rated. His stuff is nothing special and he gets by with deception, imo. He gives up a good amount more hits per inning pitch and doesn't have high strikeout totals. Consider me un-impressed and dissapointed if the Sox acquire him (cause I think it would cost an assload to get him). I see him at best a three most likely a four. Most scouts ( from what i have read in the past) and even most blue jays fans don't think he is nearly as good as he is pitching. They are just riding his streak of good pitching and are ready for him to fall back down to earth.

Chances we get peavy seem as good as us getting pujols. If not you can see what i am getting at.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) No, coming out of the ASB, there's no better time to get Shingo some work, as well as confidence, by having him come out in a 5 run game, and let him do the job. It's not like Viz has had a lot of success either. Those six earned runs in the second game of the year didn't impress you? -
QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Only 4 pages for me. Damn, you have it set for like 100 posts per page then?
