Let see how this trade goes over here
Gibbons is below a decent player he does not hit righties very well while being a lefty and that is a problem because about 80% of the pitchers you see are right handed. Hits for a low average and does not seem to like walking very much. His career .315 obp, .451 slugging, and his .766 ops is disgusting for a right fielder.

Sun - Times Article
I wouldn't even want him in the pen. I like to have good control guys out of the pen and he is the total opposite of that. His 1.60 whip makes me want to. :puke

Another day
Yes, without a doubt. Do you see how they are making? Castilla will be lucky if he hits .250 or higher next year. I mean really lucky.

No, just wishful thinking on my part. But you are most likely correct. He looks like the best hitter in the game for 3 weeks and then for 2 weeks you are wonderign why he is even playing baseball.

Let see how this trade goes over here
I really like uribe, but those two months back to back of really s***ty hitting killed us. If he would have hovered around .280 it would have been outstanding considering i thought he would only hit around .250. Next year though i feel he will become more consistent than this past year.

The rules on options re: draft choices
I believe dbaho posted a list of all the type a free agents in the thread jimh is referring to. He also found it on baseball america.

Red Sox make offer to Damian Miller
Catcher imo opinion is the most important position in the game, followed by short. Did you know miller is one of the best catchers in the game today? Every pitcher he has ever caught seems to love him.

What Now?
Does everett play left field? Thought so. All you asked is if they traded for a left fielder, so i would not be wrong in saying that they did.
-
What Now?
I know this, but he asked me if they traded for a center fielder or a left fielder and technically they did.
-
What Now?
You asked if they traded for a left fielder of a centerfielder did you not?
-
What Now?
Yes, everett. You are not understanding something apparently.
-
What Now?
Does not matter we needed an outfielder period. Why do you think we got everett once more? For the hell of it?

Start by Signing Corey Koskie
Would you be willing to top what the jays are gonna offer him of 3 years 15 million? To me anything more than that is getting quite steep.
-
What Now?
Um, ya, we would have went after finley. But there was a slight problem. He did not want to come to chicago, he wanted to stay on the west coast.

They are supposedly gonna offer him a 3 year deal worth 15. There have been rumors this past past month that he has interest since he was born in canada.

What Now?
Honestly i was not sure about rowand at all. I felt it was his make or break season in a white sox uniform. I stuck with him because he has always been one of my favorite players because of his all out hustle and his good attitude. Last year i thought if we traded konerko we would regret it because i felt we would be able to get more than just perez after a bounce back year. Makes no sense to trade a guy while he has his lowest possible value unlees it is nothing more than a salary dump. I mean did anyone actually expect him to have back to back years like he had in 2003? 2003 was a fluke and nothing more.
