Have to say, K designs the best plays in college basketball after timeouts. Still, he's a buttface. -

The sooner you leave, the sooner the big 2nd paycheck comes as well. But Oden could take out an insurance policy and come back ala Leinart as another option. -

Ok, so Durant is the best college basketball player I have ever seen. He beat TTU by himself in the 2nd half, ended with 37 points and 23 rebounds I believe. Not even fair. -
I saw a street name in Cali called Zyzxx, pronounced "Zi-Zucks" and is has stuck in my head for 2 years now. I have always wanted to name something that.

Some teams want a recruit to wait and enroll the next January to not count towards the 25 enrollment maximum for a class in February. Basically it's for players that have either been hurt, or aren't as highly rated as some of their current prospects/commitments.

Anybody want a 400 pound blob getting paid 20 million to sit out? -
It's normally crazy, but not quite this crazy. There has been an inordinate amount of coaching changes that have caused chaos with recruiting. Take UNC for example, 5 star Dwight Jones has been drifting off a little, but I still feel good about it. But in his place guys like 4 star Kourtney Brown, 5 star Marvin Austin etc have really started to like UNC a lot. Both Saban and Butch should finish with top 20 football classes and have caused quite a few players committed other places to re-think their choices. Saban is trying everything in his power to woo #1 RB McKnight.

How the hell do you only take off .6 of a second when a guy has to catch the inbounds, then make a shot from 3 point range. You really think it takes less than a second for a shot to reach the goal from 20 feet away, much less having to catch the inbounds pass, just absolute Duke bulls***. -

And now you see why America hates Duke. What a disgrace for Clemson fans. -

Interesting week for TTU basketball. Lose to Baylor, then beat #5 Kansas and #6 A&M back to back. -
Not quite, it's pretty normal in recruiting. Some recruits want to have all the attention and playing time, others want to be part of a bigger program and don't mind competing for p/t. In 2002 Baylor managed a top 21 class, and pulled in a 5 star, 10 4 star recruits, and 10 3 star recruits. In 2003 NC State pulled in a top 10 class, and Washington had a top 18 class. In 2005 Arizona pulled in a top 15 class A majority of the time the top programs will dominate recruiting, for a few reasons. 1. They attract the better players(DUH :-) ) 2. The recruits they recruit are bumped up in the rankings. Overall, programs with good recruits can sell their program as an up and coming program for a few years before it wears off. UNC had back to back top 18 classes in 03 and 04 before the message wore off and recruits didn't buy the up and coming thing anymore. Zook needs to start winning or his message will wear off as well.

Not sure if it has been posted but the Steelers are set to sign Mike Tomlin as head coach. Love the hire, especially considering Russ Grimm was his main competition. I'll be interested to see if he keeps the 3-4 like he should with Lebeau, or if he switches to his cover 2 he ran in Minny.

Wasn't really about being suprised, it was about the fact that they made the journey in the ridiculous snow we have right now in Lubbock. Very big win in achieving their hopes of making the tourney, 14-5 with some really tough games coming up. -

UNC getting smoked at Virginia Tech, 62-44 in the 2nd half with 12:00 remaining. UNC's freshmen completely over their head in their first tough ACC matchup. Play next at Clemson, good luck there guys... -
It's dang good pizza as well. Large one topping pizza for 4.99.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath on Brandan coming back next year. I'm just enjoying his talent while I can. He has grown another inch and is now 6'10 and has put on some muscle. Oden, Durant, and Wright are locks for the top 5. -

I really think this could be the best WR draft in history. Unfortunately that's about all that's in it. -

Yep, Wade, Shaq, and Riley got their title and might make some noise once The Big Out of Shape comes back. Garnett would look good with the Bulls, I'm just not sure how the salaries would work out, the Bulls would have to send like 4-5 players to the Wolves, and the Wolves would be way over on their roster count. -

The Bulls somewhat remind me of the Heat before the Shaq trade. A bunch of good players, but not enough to win it all, then traded away a lot of good players for a dominant one. -

Yes he's a PG, unfortunately for him he and JR Reynolds have to be on fire each night for UVA to have a chance. He has to be a scoring first PG, and his assist/turnover numbers suffer. -

ISU and TTU both 2-0 in the Big 12, the end is near. Virginia put up a good effort tonight, but couldn't stay around in the 2nd half with UNC. Still, you won't find a better backcourt in the nation than Sean Singletary and JR Reynolds. Singletary is almost a Jameer Nelson clone. -

LOL at VT that high. You can't put any ACC team starting in the top 10, nobody deserves it to start. ACC is wide open next year. Also no reason that Arkansas should be outside the top 10. I believe their 4 losses were all to top 6 teams. -

Give me Mike Conley Jr. or Ty Lawson over Crittenton anyday. Both Conley and Lawson take much better care of the basketball. Crittenton, 13.9 ppg 6 apg, 3.6 topg in 29.1 mpg Lawson, 8.7 ppg, 5.3 apg, 1.7 topg in 23.1 mpg Conley, 9 ppg, 6.6 apg, 1.9 topg in 28.6 mpg My AA team's right now without much research... PG. Shakur UA PG. Conley OSU SG. Curry OkSU SG. Jackson TTU SF. Durant UT SF. Tucker Wisc. PF. Hansbrough UNC PF. Davis LSU C. Noah UF C. Oden OSU -
I still like Fernando Hernandez. He's been putting up very good numbers at a decent age for a few years now.

Boise could have had a greater say in the argument if they scheduled better OOC opponents. Oregon State, Wyoming, Sacramento State, and Utah just isn't going to get it done. Yes, this is assuming a bigger power would actually play them, and that's a big assumption. But I'm not ready to hand Boise State anything after their schedule and escaping one of the worst BCS teams this year. USC, LSU, OSU, Florida, and probably even Michigan would beat Boise State by 10+ points in my opinion.
