Though Loaiza has had his problems this year, does anyone believe that Olivo's absence may be an even bigger effect on Esteban? Maybe Burke doesn't give the signs that are needed and that's when the Sox get in trouble.

The Sox need to start hitting, no s*** about that. To me the lead off hitters should either be Willie, Uribe, or Timo. It seemed like Perez always led off with a single or double in Minnesota. Once Uribe came, he either hit a single to right field (or hit a HR) and Timo would score a run at home base. Now you don’t see that anymore. It seems like the only players that are trying are Rowand and Konerko. Out of all 9, only both of them are ready to play some ball. If these guys are tired of playing so damn much, than they should just tell the fans because I wouldn’t be so surprised if the seats were empty if this losing streak doesn’t end.

Just to let you know (before anyone else does) every game matters. Do I have to repeat that for you? Every game matters. Whether the Sox play in June July or August they need to go out there and at least try to win some games. Since you are talking about the Yankees, weren’t they at least trying to start a rally, but fell short against the Tigers this afternoon?
