1.)We definitely need one more starting pitcher. Someone who will not go out to the media saying he won’t be playing for the team if he is taken out of the starting rotation. 2.) We need bullpen help as well. We can’t always use Politte, Marte, and Shingo. We need some reliable arms that will keep a good lead late into a game. 3.) We need Maggs back as soon as possible. 4.) Ozzie should just stick to one single line-up. Everyday he comes up with a new one.

It’s the way he’s been pitching as of late. He started the season well but he later bombed. His streak of loses may have been caused because it had to do something with his arm (hopefully it did) and he complaints of the low run support he gets every time he’s up on the mound. I really think he may turn it around today and start winning some games for us.

You don’t really need double digits in order to win games All you need is good pitching, good defense, and some good offense. That’s it. The Sox have done that plenty of times but there are times when they just forget about it. You take 2 out of 3 from every series then you’re in the playoffs. Of course, the Sox may not be capable of doing that all of the time, but at least they tried. Does it look like they’ve been trying as of late?

That’s the problem with this team. They were red-hot before the Sox vs. Cubs series but all of a sudden everything goes downhill. I am really getting sick of hearing people saying that we have a tough first half. So what? If we manage to beat such teams as New York, Anaheim, and Texas then we can go to the playoffs, but if we can’t beat teams such as Seattle or Toronto, than we aren’t going anywhere. A 3 game losing streak I can live with, but 4 is enough! It is pathetic and things won’t get any easier.

Am I glad to see an original Game Thread? All the other ones that have “ Sox are better” or “ Garcia will kill the Halos” brought us bad luck. BTW, if the Sox extend their losing streak to 5, I don’t know what I’ll do :banghead Look at yesterday’s SP for Anaheim. He had a 5-8 record with an ERA above 5. The Sox didn’t do anything. The bats have been silent and it is really hurting us.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but once that 2 out single went past the gap (in the fourth), Garcia started to throw atom balls. My complaint is Crede. That f***ing single was just about 2 feet away from him! The asshole never tried to slide or even run for it. What does he do? He let’s the ball get to Carlos Lee. Sure he had a RBI in the bottom of the 2nd, but there has to be defense in the field as well! The kid should have tried to slide or something, but NO! I don’t know, but once the defense for the Sox starts to screw up, Garcia does the same. Like that other time when Jose tried to turn a DP by himself and f***ed up. Later Freddy threw a cookie and the Twins were tied 4-4. You never know, if Crede could have tried to slide to get that ball, the HR might have never existed.

Both Cotts and Action Jackson should have gone down to Triple A.

Carlos Lee has been in the bases loaded situation so many f***ing times, but the guy never learns. When will he try to at least hit a single in an infield gap? That could have scored a run or two. If you get a RBI then you get a RBI. Every single guy had a good at bat in the bottom of the 8th till Carlos came and just made himself look stupid.

He sure as hell doesn’t look like a starting pitcher to me the way he’s been pitching. I agree, send him down to Charlotte, he should stay there for some time because he isn’t doing us any good.

I can’t be angry with KW because he has added a very good pitcher in our pitching staff. Him and everyone else should be thinking playoffs (even more if KW makes more trades) since we know what this team is capable of doing. This is a winning team, there are times when we hit an ugly slump, but every team eventually falls in one once in a while.

No, I live in Gary. But like many, I like to go to Merrillville, Valparaiso, Crown Point, and many other towns. I just moved here so I’m starting to explore many different places and I’m liking it.
