  1. Who would have thought this game was going to start off with a Rain Delay? It is nice and calm over here in Gary.

    Deep River Waterpark

Anyone ever been to this place or even heard about it? Right after Church, I went to Deep River because I wanted to forget all about the sweep that took place in Wrigley. So I went there and had a great time. Admission is only worth $14 and Indiana residents get a $2.00 discount. Once you enter the park, you’re free to go. You don’t have to pay for separate rides and the place is very nice. I was shocked to see so many Illinois residents come all the way to Merrillville. In case anyone is interested (I really recommend this place if you have a family) go to the website for more info. Deep River.
  3. Once again, Welcome to Chicago Freddy! This is surely big news for the White Sox and the fans. Today, Garcia makes his debut at the Cell in black and white. Our pitching rotation looks solid and we are playoff competitors. 2004 is our year and we have to give KW credit for what he’s done to help the Sox. Thank you Kenny!
  4. When I first read that, I thought the kid actually threw the ball back into the field. Of course, I was thinking about those Cubbie fans
  5. I voted Gagne. The guy must have had a bad day yesterday in order for him to blow a save like that. 84 in a row is just unbelievable IMO.
  6. A job well done by Kenny Williams.
  7. Sounds great BTW, to those who are attending tonight's game, I will be expecting to see some Welcome to Chicago Freddy posters.
  8. There are times when I think about that as well. I know Frank has been friends with a lot of guys (say Olivo, Durham etc.) and has seen a lot of them go somewhere else. Frank has probably thought about going where his friend is at, but he knows Chicago is the place to be at. So whether his best friend stays or leaves, he will remain with the White Sox. It shows just how much he loves to play with this club.
  9. Tuesday Anaheim Angels @ White Sox J. Lackey (5-8) 5.02 ERA F. Garcia (5-7) 3.35 ERA Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins Z. Greinke (1-5) 3.58 ERA J. Santana (6-5) 4.22 ERA Wednesday Anaheim Angels @ White Sox J. Washburn (8-4) 5.07 ERA S. Schoeneweis (5-6) 4.36 ERA Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins D. Reyes (2-3) 4.18 ERA K. Lohse (2-6) 5.14 ERA Thursday Anaheim @ White Sox A. Sele (5-0) 3.91 ERA J. Garland (6-5) 4.61 ERA Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins M. Maroth (5-6) 4.82 ERA T. Mullholland (1-3) 5.54 ERA Minnesota has it easy for a while, but after the All-Star break everything will change. Something I just noticed.... they have pitchers with a pretty high ERA. Go Sox!

We all know Freddy has some post-season experience, but I can see Buehrle doing the same. MB who has a total of 61 wins and 37 loses, still has a lot to do. At the age of 25, The Sox should see a lot coming out of him. In the future, teams will hear more and more about him and will later want to get him. This is just the start of fame for this young guy. Mark Buehrle 2000 4-1 2001 16-8 2002 19-12 2003 14-14 (Came back BIG having to start off bad) 2004 8-2 Total 61-37 Freddy Garcia 1999 17-8 2000 9-5 2001 18-6 2002 16-10 2003 12-14 2004 5-7 (absolutely no run support with Seattle) Total 77-50 The truth is, we have some very good young players in our pitching staff. Even Garland

There is no need for you to post that in green. Mark Buehrle has been fabulous with the White Sox. I hope he keeps it up because this kid is special and he’s sure to have a big future in the upcoming years.
  13. I know we were all shocked to see the 32-year-old right-hander having to go to the All-Star. He is the lone representative for the White Sox and every fan should support him whether they agree with the selection or not. Loaiza, who had an outstanding 21-9 record with a 2.90 ERA last year, hasn’t really been the same. Many say everything was just a fluke. But I say pitching is no fluke. He still has the second half to improve. He has enough time to lower that ERA and give the Sox at least more than 15 wins. We can’t always ask for another 21 winner, 2 years in a row. To me it’s just impossible. I’ve been reading that Esteban has worked very hard to turn back to the same chapter as last year. The strikeout totals are down at 68, and his 18 home runs allowed are one more than he gave up during the entire 2003 season. Loaiza is still getting the job done currently for the AL Central title contenders. He has an 8-4 record, moving him within two victories of 100 for his career, and a 4.37 ERA in 17 starts. The All-Star, which takes place in Houston on 7/13, will be Esteban’s second trip to an All-Star Game. Having high hopes that with his presence in a big game, it will give him a big boost for the second half. May be he can realize that he still has the stuff to win 20 games or so. I don’t know, but I do have a feeling that he will turn it around after having to go to the All-Star. And like I said, all us White Sox fans need to support Esteban. He is the only one wearing a White Sox jersey and I’m sure he’ll give his best to make this team look good. This one is for you Esteban
  14. It would be big news if Freddy did sign that deal. He’s a young pitcher with some good stuff and he will help the White Sox a lot.
  15. 84 is a lot. He should be proud of himself for all he’s done. Here’s to another streak
  16. 9-0 The Royals are going into the top of the ninth.
  17. Dude.... Are you obsessed with those?
  18. That was f***ing hilarious. I spilled my orange juice box all over the damn place.
  19. The only other time we see Anaheim is on September 10-12. Hope to see Bartolo by then.
  20. Radke has thrown only 73 pitches in 6 innings!
  21. I haven’t seen the commercial, but I look forward to seeing it.
  22. Minnesota sucks! Always taking advantage of pour teams, such as Kansas City.
