Well, refs have lost control of this game. Not that we had a chance tonight.

Illinois needs to shoot better than 25% if they are going to win this game. Hire me, BTN.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 04:01 AM) Meh, Abrams played about 8 minutes, Paul was out for a 4-5 minute stretch when Illinois could have extended the lead, and the officials decided for the last 10 minutes to start calling fouls (Advantage Minnesota since they're more physical down low). All that and they're down 4. I'll take it. Illinois could definitely win this. But I think Minny is just that good. Much better than anyone we've played and that is saying something.

Horrible last possession. Oh well, very lucky to be only down 4. Minnesota is on a whole other level than us.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:47 AM) I swear they did, but who knows. The fact that these refs gave a player both a dunk and charge on the same play really speaks to their ineptitude. I looked it up, the ball going over the backboard is out of bounds. That is now three calls that the refs flat-out did not know it seems.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:44 AM) You got the terrible henry call back. And wtf? Did they not get rid of the falling out of bounds time out? They did. Purdue refs did not get the memo either.

Nice no call on Henry there.

What is the ruling on a ball going over the backboard? I thought it was out of bounds.

Tell your coach to learn how to foul heads. Wow.

Frank Thomas: 1st ballot?
I mean, he has to be right? Obviously his on-field accomplishments are deserving. He's far and away the best player from a 100+ year franchise. If my math is right, he's up next year for voting, along with Glavine and Maddox. It would be really ironic if the game's biggest advocate for drug testing would be left out because of roiding fear. Not that it would be directed at him, but he would suffer from a general cloud.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 9, 2013 -> 08:40 AM) 30+ mil on cable is incredible. That's like 150 mil on network TV. It wasn't 30 million, and no, its not all. In fact this game was not even the highest rated NCAA championship game on cable. So much for rivalring super bowl ratings.

Last nights matchup was just 85 million viewers shy of the Super Bowl's ratings.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) Disney is stupid for having tonight's game on ESPN instead of ABC. The ratings will be a shadow of what they could have been. It could have rivaled a Super Bowl. I'll just go ahead and be the first one to LOL at this.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 01:32 AM) That Heyman tweet makes no sense, the situations weren't even close to similar. That Bulls game was not over. Up 12 with a minute left. Yeah. Probably over, but I think most coaches would have their full line-up in there.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 12:18 AM) Rose, I don't recall anything happening other than him landing and then going to the ground. If RG3 legitimately twisted his knee, that's a sprain, but not necessarily a tear. Andrews himself is on the sideline. If he'd torn anything, he wouldn't be walking. It just reminded me of Rose because they both planted their foot one way, and drag their body the other. Luckily, I think RG3 will be fine. Looked a lot worse than it was.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2013 -> 12:11 AM) Just no way the 2nd part of that is true. When you're playing on 1 and a half legs, you're stressing that thing in all sorts of weird ways. My right knee definitely agrees with that. He should not have been out there but looks like his leg just happen to bend aka Rose. Manning the sidelines now, maybe he's miraculously all right. It looked bad.

RG3 just snapped his knee. Brutal. Didn't have really much to do with his previous injuries though.
