QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 12:38 AM) Really.. ? You'd think in 20 years they would come up with a little better system. I remember a few times a wrist got accidentally cut. Not good. This brings up memories of the Mass Transit lawsuit that I'm sure all the wrestling fans here will remember.

Most people still think wrestlers bleed using ketchup or some makeshift device.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:44 PM) Correct, and UK has a wide lead IMO. And who is the big guy in this class if not Liggins? Miller who isn't coming? The overrated Shumpert? Dunigan? Illinois will end up with a class full of Demetri McCamey like prospects in 2008 which isn't bad, but won't get you to many Final 4's anytime soon. For the record, I think Suggs, Shumpert, and Dunigan, and probably some sort of wild card depending upon Jamar Smith, C.J., and whatever else goes on, will be the class. Only you would find a way to complain about that class, me thinks.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:36 PM) What the f***, man. Now every jackass who knows nothing about wrestling is going to go out and make s*** up about Eddie and Benoit and Molly Holly. What did Molly Holly ever do? EDIT: Nevermind.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) Miller will end up going with him. The Illini will still have a pretty good class, but yet again miss out on the big time guy. No shocker. Liggins was far, far from the big-time guy in this class.

LOL at Liggins going to Kentucky.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:47 PM) Valentin hit the homer about 6 rows over my head. it was incredible. I was right around there as well.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:48 PM) Except Brian and MHizzle still have tribute sigs to this bastard. It was nice of you to take the "the only side effect of steroids is excellence" quote off of your sig though. Yeah because the steroids in Benoit's house were clearly for his kid, and doctors always let the kids dad inject him with steroids for an illness. I don't know how to take that exactly, but I believe you're a little misunderstanding. Authorities yesterday said they found needle marks on Daniel's arms, and they assumed Chris had been giving him steroids "for quite some time". Disturbing. What Pratt meant was that it was maybe not so disturbing after all, as the needle marks could have been from medicine for Daniel's mental disorder.

QUOTE(ChiSox9 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:49 PM) This was on the White Sox Website: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws Basically explaining that everything coming out of the Score is pure speculation and neither the organization or Mark could confirm an agreement. "There's no official announcement," I like the sound of that.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) Maybe he's talking about the avitar thing..? Unless I'm missing something here, Shadows' avatar is of Randy Orton, not Chris Benoit. Anyway, I really haven't seen anyone defend the man since we foud out he was a murderer.
-
QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:26 PM) they certainly left ESPN 1000 for a lot less, who knows, we could be listening to the Sox on B96 next year. Eddie and Jobo would do a much better postgame show than Chris Rongey.

Report: Benoit's Son Had Fragile X Syndrome 06/26/2007 by Ryan Clark Canadian female Pam Winthrope told News 1130 in Canada that Chris Benoit's son had a genetic condition called Fragile X syndrome. According to WebMD, "Fragile X Syndrome is a defect of the X chromosome which causes mild mental retardation. The disorder occurs more frequently and severely among males than females. This condition is the leading known familial cause of mental retardation in the United States. Language delays, behavioral problems, autism or autistic-like behavior (including poor eye contact and hand-flapping), enlarged external genitalia (macroorchidism), large or prominent ears, hyperactivity, delayed motor development and/or poor sensory skills are among the wide range of symptoms associated with this disorder." Winthrope, whose son also suffers from the condition, told the Canadian news outlet that her husband reached out to Benoit five years ago in an attempt to increase awareness about Fragile X. She told News 1130, "We talked to him because I was trying to set up a support group in BC and in Canada, we only have a couple of them. My husband was struggling when we got diagnosed with our son, and Chris was struggling with his. They talked for a few minutes and then he said he didn't want to be a public face for Fragile X, he just wanted to keep it really, really quiet." Winthrope noted that the lack of support for those affected by the disorder can tear families apart. Nonetheless, "she couldn't believe the news that Benoit had taken his life along with his wife and 7-year-old son," wrote News 1130. This may explain why Daniel was taking growth hormone injections. It also may shed light onto why Chris didn't want someone else raising his son and made the fateful decision to kill him. As irrational and twisted as it may sound, he may have felt he was saving his son from the double-blow of losing his parents through a murder-suicide and being subject to being raised by people who didn't understand or care for his condition.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 12:55 AM) So you reported something that heinous off of a thread you saw on a wrestling board? Which wrestling board reported it, I want to read that post http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2917133 There's a link to said needle marks. Link to message board if you still want it, the needle mark stuff on page 67: http://www.bustedquad.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28353

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 12:43 AM) Where did you read this? I have been looking for a link to anything like this since you said it, and I cant find one. Hmmm. I may have prematurely reported it then. Two different people on a wrestling message board I was on mentioned the DA saying they found needle marks on Daniel's arms, and are suspecting Chris had been giving him the steroids for quite awhile now. I'll try and find a link. EDIT: Both posts cited the DA being on CNN Headline News. That's about all I could get for now. Also, McMahon is going to address the ECW crowd tonight, and will apologize for the 3 hour tribute last night.
