QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 05:12 AM) Maybe severe depression brought on by steroid use? It has been known to happen. WWE does test for steroids. I'm no familar with the extent of these tests, so I guess it could be a possibility. I just wanted to go back to a quote from a fellow wrestler of his posted even before anyone knew it was a murder/suicide. "He never complained about sh-- (in his personal life), but lately it always looked like something wasn't setting right with him inside, like something was eating at him." Whole thing just seems odd.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 04:22 AM) I am thinking a trade of Jacque Jones will be announced tonight after the Cub game... stay tuned. Speculation or are you claiming inside info?

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 04:51 AM) Watching ESPNEWS, the Sox highlights came on, and the anchor was talking about how bad the Sox offense was, but how "this kid Andy Gonzalez" could be the answer for the Sox.

WWE.com acknowledging it too: It has been ruled that the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available.

Anyway to watch this for free?

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 01:58 AM) Yeah because im sure its so hard to find a Benoit match from their archives.. No one is trying to be overly critical like GPratt said, but this is a special, I want to see some of the best of Benoits matches We still got 5 more hours of this with ECW and SD!. I'm sure there will be plenty of good ones.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 01:48 AM) Come on WWE, air better Benoit matches. There's so much greatness to be shown. Last week's show just doesn't belong there. Well, it was his last match and everything...

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jun 26, 2007 -> 01:17 AM) My favorite part, Cena is not an unbeatable god Never noticed how is leg went in half when he got thrown out until now. I don't recall that injury, but he had to be out for quite some time.

Vince McMahon on.

Wrestling's extended royal family is cursed. First Brian Pillman, then Owen Hart, then the British Bulldog, and now Chris Benoit. Terrible. Also: "WWE cancelled the scheduled live Raw show scheduled for June 25, and will be airing a non-live tribute to Benoit in its place." More: Vince McMahon broke the news to the wrestlers backstage about the death of Chris Benoit and his family. One wrestler who was present tells PWTorch that everyone was gathered for an urgent, impromptu gathering backstage. McMahon then explained the basics - that Chris Benoit and his wife and won were found dead. He didn't elaborate or provide any details, and may not have known any more himself. "I've never seen a locker room floored like that. Seventy percent of everyone was just floored like I've never seen before. Everyone is just sad. He was well-liked by everyone. No one ever had a bad word for him. He and Bobby Eaton, that's what people say about those two." He added: "He never complained about sh-- (in his personal life), but lately it always looked like something wasn't setting right with him inside, like something was eating at him." There are no police reports yet confirming the backstage info circulating that they all did of gunshot wounds.

WWE has flat out said that he is dead. Not missing, but dead. They avoided that with the McMahon angle, only that it was presumed. This is real. And extremly, extremly odd. He went home to attend to personal family issues last night, only to be killed? I'm mystified.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 08:22 PM) I've said it before and what the hell, I'll say it again. I would not trade Mark Buehrle straight up for Robinson Cano. His loss of power and OBP hovering around .300 would fit right in.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:47 PM) Yes. If we trade Cintron, who will be our pinch hitter? You use the term "pinch hitter" like he is actually capable of hitting.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 05:47 PM) THOME (Yep, I think he's going to agree to be moved to a contender, but the club may have to take less in return because he has full veto power). Do you think a team will take a chance on him as a full time first baseman down the stretch when he hasn't really played there for two years now? If not, that narrows our options to about 2-4 teams, if that.

Looks like I'll be on the market for a new name soon. Any ideas are welcome. I think I would like to keep the ">" though.

"Is that really that much of a net upgrade effectively sitting Duque for Beurhle?" You had to have made that one up.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 07:07 AM) You helped me out -- I didn't even have the sensor bar plugged in. But I imagine it takes some getting used to? You should get it just about right away. Wii Tennis does a good job at introducing things, though I'd play around with the menus first if you're just hooking yours right now. Also, I'd recomend getting the newest system update, although since you have a new Wii, you may already have it.

QUOTE(Omar Minaya @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:52 AM) it was quite a challenge getting through the registration process. I thought after slaying the dragon it would get easier, but jesus it just got harder and harder!! oh, nevermind, all I had to do was enter my e-mail address and a user name and a password. very difficult. i understand that you're not going to be very receptive to the idea of not being to get as much back for buerhle as you'd like, as that's all you have to look forward to this year. but don't worry, there's always next year, and you guys definitely have a young, solid nucleus to build around. oh... anyways, simmons says there's a 5 year grace period, so try and wait out the next 3. I love it when fans of other teams talk s*** when they haven't won a World Series in decades. EDIT: Before anyone asks, yes that was a play on us. However, as far as I'm concerned, our 2005 World Series does give us the right to talk s*** to anyone this side of St. Louis. **Kisses World Series ring**

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:43 AM) I'm having some Wii troubles. First off, I click 'A' to get past the first screen (the health screen), but after that, I don't know what to do. It seems like my controller isn't working. I'm sitting at most five feet away from the console and the controller is clearly on (the first blue light is lit), yet I can't get the cursor to move. I try pressing A and that doesn't do anything, either -- the only buttons that result in an 'action' on the screen is the home button, the plus/minus buttons and the power button. Am I doing something wrong? Did I not set up the system properly? Is your sensor bar in a place where it can receive the controller signal?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:36 AM) I love it when people go to all the effort of creating a name on an opposing board, so they can educate their fanbase on how we should be thrilled to get some of the C prospects and turds that their boards have been pushing. Somwhere between what our fans think, and what your fans think is the middle. And that is probably still wrong. When they make the announcement on the trade, we will find out what happened. Mets fans are all smarter than us. Didn't you know?

"John Cena overcame the odds once again," Right from WWE.com. It's almost like they think it's gone to far too.

QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 02:19 AM) We rented Freddie Garcia for far more than 2 B prospects (sure we extended him - after we rented him). People were going ga-ga over the opportunity to rent AJ Burnett 2 years ago ( 2 of MCCarthy, Crede, Conteras and Sweeney etc.). It's funny how when we are looking to rent, the price isn't so cheap. The B level propects for rental player argument doesn't hold much water. I'd like to see evidence of it. Off the top of my head, the major in season trades(Buehrle-level) of the past 3 years: 2006- Bobby Abreu to the Yankees for 4 nobodies. Wasn't a rental player IIRC, which actually hurt what the Phils got in return. 2005- No major trades? 2004- Freddy Garcia traded for a ton of young talent. Carlos Beltran traded for a ton of young talent. Both were rentals. Now, like I said, this was all of the top of my head. Please correct me where I went wrong.
