Can this team go on without him if he's gone for an extended period? Teams won't be able to run right at him if he isn't on the field.

I'm assuming that Catalanotto can play RF? In the scouting report, I read that he hit .308 in the leadoff or #2 spot last year... we could really use this guy. Plus, he removes Joe "The Automatic Out" Borchard from the line-up.

They've got 3 vs Boston, 3 vs Anaheim, 4 vs Oakland we've got 4 vs Detroit, 3 vs KC, and 4 vs CLE If they go 5-5, we hopefully can at least go 6-5 and pick up the half game... Ideally they go 4-6 and we go 7-4... This is the same Minnesota team that lost 3 of 4 to Detroit to go into the All-Star break and give us the 1/2 game lead... Just keep hope alive.

what's odd is that we still have the slugging.. it's just that our table setters have cooled off remarkably. Our offensive woes are largely in part that our #1 and #2 guys can't get on base. How many innings has Konerko lead-off with a HR? Everytime it happens, it feels like a waste because there should at least be a guy on base from the previous inning...

If only Borchard hadn't hit into a DP... he may have been the hero today. And Davis hit the HR... both our catchers stepped up. Maybe Davis can actually get a multihit game for once?

ok. we can pick up a half game with a win tomorrow. Plus, we do have Buehrle and Garcia against these clowns. If Garland pitches decently, maybe we can gut out a win with Schoe... all we need is for BOS to take 2 of 3 and we're only 1 game out if we can pull out the sweep.
