He said he was told to prepare for emergency podcast. That doesn’t sound like a good thing.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Of course he had the MRI this morning. With Eloy I believe it started to leak around 1pm the day of his MRI it was bad news and Hahn met with the media around 3.

To me, he probably heard from someone with sources it’s a season-ending injury, just like Bernstein heard about Eloy. These types of things leak quicker than trade stuff

Beginning to feel like the hour leading up to the Eloy announcement

The TLR Manager Thread
Passan clearly doesn’t like Tony and doesn’t mind being the mouthpiece for Sox employees who have an issue with him as well

This would not be a Hahn decision to go all in.

Or he’s trying to revert the game back to the way he believes it should be played. Meanwhile us Sox fans have to suffer with his terrible decision making.

MILB Kickoff Thread?
It was one you could search by a ton of parameters, like particular draft classes

Also accounting for getting into a rhythm at the plate. He’s struggled in the past after having time away from the field.

I don’t follow advanced stats, but is Patrick Williams any good? Every other game, seems he has a dud. I’ve heard good things about his defense....help me out here

MILB Kickoff Thread?
I can’t recall the other stat site. Had a leaderboard from the organization on that day, along with box scores.

FWIW I’ve heard that Tony has told colleagues the Sox can add payroll at the deadline

Yeah I’m with you and think if we see him back early July healthy and effective I would be happy.

Sox need Abreu and Grandal to show up this year. If they continue to underperform so badly, it’s going to be nearly impossible to make the postseason. Personally, I think the Royals are a lot better than people give them credit for. Hard to imagine the Sox running away with this.

If you really want to go for it, trade some of your better prospects for Kris Bryant. He looks incredible this year and would instantly be their best slugger.

DH is likely next year in NL.

And who knows what Mercedes actually is come the end of the season. No reason to accommodate him long term right now after one good month.

Hamilton will surely play due to it being a homecoming. No worries, Reds offense stinks at home....

I don’t think anyone would take on Grandal’s full contract right now. Good idea but Braves could probably try to get a cheaper guy.

Mercedes really picked up the slack, but we’re seeing some cracks in the offense the last ten days. Eaton looks like his injuries are causing his offense to plummet.

You trade prospects then for an upgrade, not a key part of the rebuild going forward. And yes if Robert is out a few months and they suffer a couple more injuries, this won’t be their year. What we’re seeing is an organization that neglected their depth in the offseason when everyone knew they needed more help. Instead of money, it will now require trade assets.
