  1. All I know is that if the bunt was such a good, effective play....why aren't the best offenses doing it? Some of you would probably complain if the Sox had a Twins-like lineup that they didn't play enough small ball.

I actually think he's up next home stand.
  3. or do you think they believe the only way to produce a winner is to replicate the 2005 team, which wasn't afraid to utilize the bunt? I truly believe the organization just thinks they're smarter than others, and that the bunt is still an effective weapon.
  4. Well it would cost JR more money to have to pay out Ricky's contract and hire someone else. Kidding.....I think
  5. I hope people go to the live podcast next week with Hahn and Chuck and go off on him. It's been softball question after softball question for Hahn since the Machado debacle.
  6. I guarantee you it's because righties have a higher average than lefties against Pivetta, despite the OPS against being almost identical.
  7. Why not keep him around, he'll have his scapegoats for at least two more years before people start to realize he's incompetent.
  8. Screw that, you don't play for the tie anyways on the road (especially with most of the dependable relievers already used). Ricky is a freaking joke.
  9. I forgot Jay is still on this team, which makes Cordell batting there even dumber.
  10. Why was that Cordell and not Skole? Terrible swing by Cordell in a situation you need a fly ball.
  11. Would have been foul if Bossard was the head of their grounds crew

do you ever say anything is a cheap homer? You really need to start differentiating between a bomb and a BOMB
  13. I've said that the last few months. It's the same with Colome the other day. All it takes is a few unlucky outings and it blows your ERA up. I like Bummer, but I also think he's an injury waiting to happen and could have had a lot of value at the deadline.
  14. What sucks is all the momentum from the first half with the fan base has vanished in the last 3 weeks. Ratings have to be plummeting right now.
  15. Always trade relief pitchers when they have value
  16. It warms my heart that he thought he could count on Engel and Yolmer to knock in a runner from 2nd. I think only Benetti believes those guys are good.
  17. undisciplined, stupid team. Engel back to looking like a pitcher trying to hit tonight.
  18. Just saw that posted by DVS also. This team is just so far away from being competent in any aspect of the game.

Vaughn takes some great swings at the plate. Have a feeling he's gassed right now, but will be a monster come next year.
  20. yes, huge backslide defensively this season.
