Something to keep in mind is that Girardi was rumored to not have a good rapport with young players last year. Also when he was with the Marlins, he did a poor job handling young pitching.
Kopech got into trouble and then a wild pitch turning into an out at home likely ends his outing. VERY good showing for him. Kopech owes that Snyder guy a cookie basket, as he could have absolutely killed him on the slide into home.
Fastball command is good, as even his misses have been close enough to get hitters to think about. I can totally see him becoming a sinker baller in the majors and not necessarily a power pitcher.
Just doesn't seem to be fooling anyone like he used to, but that's called AAA ball and not lower level. Not good swings against it though when it's been close, but not a swing and miss pitch. Of the 10 he's thrown though, 5 missed the play by a foot.
