Think of Colson as an NBA player that can get really hot in a game or be a total brick. He can put a team on his back a handful of times each month, but when it’s going bad…it’s very bad

That’s the Dansby comparison that most have made for him. People on this site need to stop thinking there are a lot of .300 hitters still. Colson can be a strong contributor at .216. Hell, Vargas has had a great year and is below .240 now.

Exactly, if there’s a season next year, he’s your big ticket acquisition. There’s a reason you usually see contending teams go after players doing well during the season at the deadline and not reclamation projects. In a lot of ways, Getz acted like this was a team that wasn’t really in contention.
