  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:58 AM) Holder? Tate?
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:30 AM) Obviously no issues taking on money but that better mean there's some more talent coming as well. You have to think of it now as Frazier for clarkin and Kahnle/DRob for Rutherford. You would think you could get one more top 150
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:28 AM) I'd say the Cubs never lost on purpose. Only Bryant was a draft pick in the post-tank era who was a big piece of their WS team. And that wasn't even a #1 overall pick. They just traded all their good veteran players and never said no to a player playing well on their MLB team. Like I said, the losing will happen if you are maximizing the value of your veterans. But there's no use futzing around trying to squeeze out extra losses by making bad managerial decisions, etc. Theo has said he wanted them to lose
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:27 AM) So you really think Dustin Fowler is a waste of a gamble? Worth it
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:25 AM) Have we decided he's bad now? I hadn't paid attention since the "anyone is better than Ventura" days His use of the bunt reminds me of a high school softball coach
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 03:23 AM) I stand firmly by the position that losing on purpose is stupid. You want to win even if you're not actively trying to put good players on your MLB roster. The losing is a byproduct of the restocking of the system. You want fans to come out and see wins and you want your players to play well in tough situations whenever they present themselves. Well maybe have a better manager than Renteria
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 03:22 AM) I really hope Clarkin isn't the next best guy after Rutherford. Same would be a tad disappointing
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 03:19 AM) This game has gotten moderately interesting...til Tyler popped that up Safety squeeze with runner on 3rd heading back to bag
  9. Renteria is a joke
  10. Avi on a nice run
  11. QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 03:13 AM) If you had told me last year Lucas Giolito would be our 5th or 6th best prospect, people would have been dumbfounded. Or Collins would be around 12
  12. Given who Sox have to pitch relief tonight, this game might take a while
  13. I don't like our chances in the Crosstown Classic
  14. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:52 AM) You have to think Andujar is going to come back as well, no? Rutherford, Fowler, Andujar? I would love that
  15. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:46 AM) I just checked Baseball America's list of top 100 prospects. Fathom is correct. Neither Andujar, or Mateo are on their list. Quite a divergence from MLB Pipeline. Pipeline was before the year, BA is updated
  16. this would be smart https://twitter.com/Joelsherman1/status/887483082948956160
  17. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:45 AM) Just imagine how much your wrist is going to hurt 5 minutes after they announce we got Torres. We can then trade Rodon and Swarzak for Robles and have all the prospects!
  18. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:39 AM) That's interesting because MLB Pipeline has Mateo as #37 and Andujar as the 7TH best third base prospect. That's upon what I was basing my thoughts. Just from what I've read in KLaw chats this year, he's mentioned a lot how Rutherford and Mateo just don't hit the ball very hard. Mateo has been great of late since his promotion.

  20. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:37 AM) Nightengale tweeting as if the deal is done. Come on, someone start leaking out a few of the prospects heading the Sox way... Can't wait to overreact one way or another
  21. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:33 AM) Really Fathom? Who else besides Andujar and Mateo would comprise a sufficient return? I assume that it would be a low level prospect. I like Andujar but neither guy is a BA top 100 prospect as of a few weeks ago
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:30 AM) Call me crazy, but what if Hahn and Cashman have been having ongoing conversations about Robertson and it came up as "what would it take for us to get Torres?" And Cashman said Frazier and Kahnle? The Yanks still have Gregorious through 2020 and he's turned into a pretty damn good player. 5% chance IMO. C. Frazier a 6% chance
  23. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:28 AM) If Andujar and Mateo are coming back, I doubt that there would be any other players included. To me, that wouldn't be enough
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:27 AM) So just oblige me for a moment, why would the Sox have leaked this deal? What would be the purpose? To get Kyle Tucker (jk, he's legit hurt)
  25. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 02:17 AM) Outside execs said Cashman has been trying to upgrade #Yankees without moving top prospects such as Torres/Frazier/Andujar https://twitter.com/Joelsherman1/status/887481207356882944 Blake, Mateo, Adams? Everyone cool with that?
