  1. Valentine's a junior, and I wouldn't be shocked if Melo Trimble goes pro. Without Melo, Maryland should be more in the 7-8 range.
  2. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:25 PM) Man, Ramon Castro would look pretty good on this roster. Non of the backup catchers can throw for s*** and Flowers aint not great shakes himself. It's really just a combination of crappy catchers with major deficiencies, it seems
  3. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 10:45 PM) Avi has a really s***ty arm. Really have to hope his defense is better this year. I was watching videos from all the games in April prior to his injury, as his horrible defense might have cost the Sox 3 different games they ended up losing.
  4. The lack of power from the likely starting 9 has been shocking so far this ST.
  5. BTW, nice of the White Sox to tweet Samardzija's tourney bracket that shows what the entry fee was. I'm sure he'll be banned from baseball for life. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25117024
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 03:28 AM) Other than the early games on Thursday (which I didn't even get to watch) I thought it was a really boring first weekend of games in general. It's been an accurate representation of the entire season. Awful offenses, bad refs and a lack of star players.
  7. This Friday/Sunday combo of games have been awful.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 22, 2015 -> 06:03 AM) I know it's a cliche, but Notre Dame really wanted it today in a game against an equally fiery Butler team. We will find out Sunday how much Kansas wants it. Will their sometimes zombielike turnover prone team play balls out basketball as Butler and ND did? We shall see. From what I've seen, ND is a FAR superior team over Kansas. Just cause it was a close game doesn't mean both teams played well. Butler didn't make a jump shot past the FT line until 16 minutes was left in the game. Neither team scored in the last three minutes of regulation, including Butler missing the rim on their last three shots.
  9. They match up well vs Kansas, but Kansas is still a much tougher out than WSU.
  10. I will give ND credit for being far and away the most clutch team in college basketball this year. They have made an insane amount of "onions" shots
  11. Butler definitely had their chances. Dunham played an awful game for Butler.
  12. D. Jackson gets away with murder on defense. He would be a great fit on Purdue
  13. Good grief, is this a home game for ND football
  14. Not too impressed with Soto's defense
  15. And Bryant homers off of King Felix
  16. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 20, 2015 -> 01:33 PM) dang it, i wish i saved the link, i was reading late last nite and it was a blog. the subject was how some of the favorites may get hurt, esp now with a lot of press of arm problems. now with Michael Matuella-sp, illness, the draft may look differently. if Brady Aiken, is not hurt but has soreness, how many teams will be wary. this draft, pitchers or hitter??? i am sooo lost with the sox picking #8. i was also thinking, with Dillon Tate making a name for him himself, the fire is getting started so to speak. there is, in the same blog, talk about him being top 10 if not, now with Aiken's, top 5. Sounds like scouts believe there's no way Tate will still be around for the Sox pick.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 20, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) Albers over Cleto seems a easy call. Didn't seem to have much on his fastball
  18. Micah Johnson absolutely deserves to be the starting 2nd baseman. On the opposite end, there's no doubt in my mind Soto is a better offensive player than Flowers.
  19. Based off of last year and what I've seen from him so far in ST, Travis Wood looks to be done
  20. Abreu might hit .415 this year with 5 homers
  21. Noesi's fastball is so straight. Three fly outs to the track/home run last inning
  22. Ugh, NE had a man wide, wide open under the hoop there.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 07:13 PM) Lol cmon now. Just hoping for the make up call
  24. Nice hanging on the rim
  25. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) That is a brutal call against Northeastern. Jackson clearly fouled the Northeastern player first. Brutal refs this half
