Yoan Moncada signs with Red Sox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2015 -> 04:13 PM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/internation...a-rank-top-100/ Non-Moncada, but Schwarber being so high on that list is insane.

Jeff Samardzija contract extension?
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 05:34 AM) Is "absolutely phenomenal" really the correct verbage? Adams was nothing special last year, and while Danish has been good, he's still at WS. Let's hold off on absolutely phenomenal for now. 59 strikeouts and 4 walks for an 18 year old would be phenomenal even if it was high school.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 05:21 AM) I feel like you've said this for like 5 years now haha. From the second his name was mentioned as a candidate at GT, I was posting on here about how awful a fit it would be. Thanks to Hewitt's ridiculous life-time contract with GT, it was always known to be a 4-year gig at a minimum for Gregory. Thankfully it sounds like they have a decent amount of money now to spend on a coach.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 04:05 AM) Jesus, can we revoke Crosbys scholarship? Welcome to my college basketball world, as Georgia Tech is literally the worst 3 point shooting team in the country. 68 or so more days until Gregory gets fired.

Looking at the halftime scores tonight, it's confirmed my belief that college basketball is freaking terrible now. Scoring seems to be way, way down.

It's amazing watching this Bulls team where Rose is clearly not one of their two best players. Butler deserves MVP consideration.

What an awful missed call in the Bulls game. Hard to miss a guy being 3 feet out of bounds.

Not sure if anyone was watching the last minute of UNC/ND, but Roy Williams misused his timeouts worse than anyone I've ever seen.

I love the flexibility/insurance he gives the Sox in terms of a 3B platoon and/or playing CF if Eaton gets hurt.

Refs did their best to get Miss St back in this game. Maybe the worst non-fumble call of the season.

I'm pretty sure I've made this same post the last two years, but Groce has always been known as a good recruiter and good tournament coach. However, his weakness has always been in-game coaching. In a very weak Big 10 this year, if he can't make the tournament, he should be on the hot seat next year.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:26 PM) Lsu got robbed. That's incredible they didn't overturn that. It was incredibly obvious his knee wasn't down when he was stretching the ball across the line.

Bench
QUOTE (bear_brian @ Dec 24, 2014 -> 08:17 PM) At the risk of being highly redundant - since I have posted this suggestion about a dozen times now - the best available alternative for what we need on that bench - RH, infield and OF, possible platoon at 3B - is Bonifacio. He kills lefties, can even play CF. He is not an every day player, and maybe that is what he is looking for, but he fits us like a glove. I also love his ability to be a pinch runner for the team late in the game and then be able to take over at a variety of spots. He's like Leury without the AA caliber bat.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 20, 2014 -> 06:21 PM) Looks like No Orioles as well. Another one I wonder if could jump in is the Cubs. Wouldn't make much sense for the Cubs unless they were planning on trading Baez or Russell.
