  1. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:30 AM) #TheRoadToAProtectedDraftPickSoWeCanSignShieldsOrSomeoneLikeThat might not be as catchy as #TheRoadToRodon but it could be just as crucial +1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 I will root for progress and the core of the organization to do well. If they happen to lose games those...it's not crushing like in 2006 or 2008.
  2. Letting Webb start a second inning, with the powerful Arcia up was just a ridiculous decision to start with. It was like Ventura was more concerned about Escobar batting that inning than anyone else. This team has put in far too much effort this year, only to continually be let down by a horrible manager.
  3. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:27 AM) FIRE COOP! He's been just awful this season also. Him and Ventura kept getting caught unprepared for what might happen next.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:26 AM) Tired of Robin and his use of the bullpen. He is horrible Hate rooting for an organization that is so loyal that it seems on field performance means nothing in terms of job security.
  5. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 04:25 AM) Annnnnnnnnnnnd...game. Thanks for leaving Webb in far too long... Ventura is just an unbelievably awful manager.
  6. And of course...can the Sox trade Micah Johnson for Gardenhire? Talk about being out-managed in the 9th.
  7. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 04:18 AM) Why bring in our ONLY lefty to face a switch-hitter and a righty? Because Ventura. Yet they let Webb face the weak hitting lefty in Fuld.
  8. Stone and Hawk don't seem very pleased about the lefty coming in here.
  9. Ugh, he is so not a multiple inning reliever. No idea why they had him start this inning, only to have Downs come in now. Is Putnam not allowed to pitch in tied games now?
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 04:10 AM) This is why Webb doesn't get important innings... Did Putnam not make this trip or something?
  11. QUOTE (iguchi=dank @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 04:08 AM) They even destroyed chapman, down 8, no biggie Viciedo should beg them to trade for him.
  12. Not a fan at all of Webb being a two inning reliever.
  13. QUOTE (iguchi=dank @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:05 AM) Lol at Toronto. What a game for them, Toronto fans must be on cloud nine Their power is incredible
  14. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:04 AM) Good call to intentionally walk Beckham, they know Gillaspie's splits yep, Gardenhire's awesome
  15. Ugh! Just a real bad at bat by Gillaspie. That second pitch was the one to hammer. He just doesn't look strong at all vs LHP.
  16. QUOTE (iguchi=dank @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 04:00 AM) All the blown save talk before the inning worked! Beltran blasted that homer off of Britton
  17. Way to go Eaton!! Looked like Mauer last night.
  18. Wow, Flowers with a real nice swing there! Nice of Perkins not to throw a fastball, but we'll take it!
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 02:56 AM) Please tell me Flowers is not batting now... Of course he is
  20. Wow, nice PK! Why not have Sierra bat for Flowers?
  21. Blanke struck out 2 of the 3 hitters he faced. I'd love to know his velocity.
  22. Wow, Toronto just took the lead against Reds after trailing 8-0. Bring on their offense next weekend
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 02:38 AM) Lose again to garbage pitchers in Minn, this could be another lost weekend again. Gonna be a long road trip if the offense struggles like this. I keep thinking of ways Ventura could switch up the lineup, but it seems hard to come up with different combinations. The biggest switch they could do is stop having Flowers bat between ADA and Eaton. Nothing like having the easiest out in baseball at the moment hitting between maybe your two toughest outs at the moment.
  24. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 03:28 AM) what do you think itll take to get him? With Hedges lurking, hopefully nothing too crazy. Hopefully they value someone like Micah Johnson, and then you package him with someone like Beck. My biggest fear with Grandal is you wonder how much his success in 2012 was due to PEDS
  25. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 02:24 AM) We desperately need to find a legitimate starting catcher between now and next March. Grandal seems like the perfect target, as he solves two offensive needs (left-handed bat, high OBP). He won't come cheap, but his poor season may make him a little more affordable. Regardless, Flowers needs to go. Something to keep in mind with Grandal is that KW and company really liked him and many thought the Sox would draft him.
