  1. Really would be nice for Eaton to show he can hit at this level again. His numbers are now below how he performed last year. Ever since he tweaked something last week, he's been an easy out at the plate.
  2. Noesi getting a lot of strikes swinging on that change-up. Very impressive!
  3. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 03:32 AM) Bias that hard cheapens the experience. What was his excuse last night? I had it on Vin Scully. For the error on the Kemp DP ball, he said not every 2nd baseman would have gotten to that ball
  4. "Our" Mark Buehrle...seriously Hawk?
  5. Nice defense so far tonight
  6. FLOWERS! Been a while since he went oppo.
  7. For some reason, I keep on focusing on Chris Oliver or Jake Stinnett for the 2nd round pick for the Sox. If they take Rodon and have to go significantly over slot, Stinnett could be a good pick due to being a senior.
  8. Viciedo's bat speed seems to be slipping. He's been fouling off a lot of good pitches to hit instead of putting them in play.
  9. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 03:08 AM) Puig down Off day on Thursday should mean the top tier relievers go today. Great inning there for Noesi!
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 03:05 AM) Dunn must be doing his best half ass Konerko run impersonation. According to Hawk last night, Dunn will be benched for a couple of games if he (someone on the team) doesn't hustle.
  11. Good swings by Beckham tonight!
  12. First walk in over a month!
  13. Dunn being lazy lets the runner get to 3rd
  14. Someone want to wake up Cooper?
  15. Nice play by Gillaspie. Flowers looked crossed up again.
  16. Noesi doesn't have any command out of the stretch.
  17. For those that missed it, Boers and Bernstein were ripping Hawk like crazy today. Basically saying its not fair to Stoney to get dragged down by Hawk's awfulness.
  18. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 12:37 AM) Tim Anderson 2-4, 2 doubles It would take quite the 2nd half, but I'd love to see him go for 30/20/10 with extra base hits
  19. To me, you can't have Micah Johnson, Sanchez and Eaton in the same AL lineup. Way too little power from that trio.
  20. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 01:33 AM) Marcus Semien 1-2 with a walk and a homer Tyler Saladino 1-2 with a triple Kris Bryant homered again against the Barons *weeps* The 7 prospects above him in Keith Law's recent top 25 most be incredible
  21. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 06:20 AM) I think Kershaw being so far from the bag caused the error. Gillaspie realized he should be running to third mid-throw and didn't follow through with a good throw. Dumb error either way Exactly, and it also look like he might have short-armed the throw cause he didn't want to hit Kershaw running in front of him.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 06:06 AM) Normally I'd blame the first guy, only. But geezus, Gillaspie made the worst mental error I've ever seen in a game (except for the Dybber vs. the O's in the playoffs). I mean, my god. He could have stopped and tagged Kershaw or ran to the base. You HAVE to blame Gillaspie as well. Beckham was miserable, don't get me wrong, but Gillaspie??? Horrific as well. It wasn't even the worst mental error in a Sox game over the last 4 games (Maybin forgetting how many outs there were). It was a dumb play by Gillaspie, but who knows, he might not have even known how far Kershaw was from the bag. It's not like he was only a few feet from the bag, and it wasn't exactly a rocket hit to him.
  23. Oh well, they lost a game against one of the top pitchers in baseball. No shame in that. Hopefully the offense comes alive tomorrow, as they've got to start putting up more than 2 runs on a consistent basis again. Nice to have Abreu back!
