  1. 4 outs on the bases in 4 innings.
  2. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) Rios seems to be in that pull happy mode again. He's been that way since the WBC started. You should have seen how prominent this was for him during that.
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Considering the success rates of prospects, and the prospects the Sox have, I think if it's only 4 for 1 then you make that deal everyday of the week. Thing is, there's just no prayer for the Sox contending with other teams trying to get Stanton if Sale's not included. Teams like the Rangers and Cardinals just have far too much to offer.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) And last years group was about as good as I can remember. I swear it was into this part of the season before we blew a cutoff man. Yep, couldn't agree more. It was almost like they were trying so hard for the new guy in town to impress him and soaking in all the changes they made with how the game would play. This year, I don't know what is happening.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) It has been a while since I have seen a stretch like this. The defense and baseball IQ is way worse than the offense, IMO. I disagree that it's worse than the offense, as this team getting a lot of hits and home runs would give more room for error with the defense, etc. When you score only 3 runs a game, it makes everything else so important.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 6, 2013 -> 10:01 PM) De Aza leading off is going to have to be addressed very shortly because it is not working at all. There are no other options. Gillaspie doesn't profile as a leadoff hitter.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 10:01 PM) So he has the double, but managed to slide past the base. Great work. Is this the worst Sox team at fundamentals of your lifetime?
  8. 3 outs on the bases in last 3 innings!
  9. Kudos to Keppinger, Rios and Dunn last inning though.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:47 PM) No way is Danks' mistake worse than Wise's. Danks was just hustling, Wise was being a dumbass Someone always has an excuse for Danks making dumbass plays.
  11. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:47 PM) Not really sure what he brings to the table other than they have liked him since high school. 4 hits and a run, that is what the White Sox call a rally Bring in heath and get out of town already His last name, that's the only reason anyone thinks he might be good.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:44 PM) Honestly, all these mental blunders we've had this year have to go back on the coaching staff. This is pathetic. Jordan Danks is a bad baseball player that makes a lot of mistakes on the field.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:43 PM) Oh what the f*** Danks ?
  14. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:41 PM) The inability of this team to execute is almost incomprehensible. The carry over from last year's collapse is just insane.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:36 PM) f***! He could've made it Yuck, everything that can go wrong has.
  16. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:39 PM) That was the one thing you couldn't do. I'm thinking he got his PhD in hitting from a diploma mill. Thankfully he's not under contract after this year.
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 6, 2013 -> 07:36 PM) At this point, I wouldn't make a trade like that if I'm the Sox simply because you need to build for the future and trading 4 young players for 1 is simply not efficient, no matter how talented the 1 player is. Yep, he makes no sense for the future Sox plans.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:23 PM) Chris Sale should not still be in this game. I don't really like seeing him over 120 pitches on May 6th. No s***
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) Hahn needs to do something to shake this up. Even if it's just finding someone to platoon with Flowers. Its time to do something Tricky Ricky. Yep, this is inexcusable. If they think adding Beckham and Viciedo is going to help this lineup against RHP, they are dumber than we think. With all the chances Hahn could have had to be a GM the last few years, it's ironic that this might be the worst spot he could have landed.
  20. KC is the same place last year where Delmon Young might have got screwed on a home run late vs KC due to lack of camera angle. With that said, this offense is a disgrace.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:38 PM) I'm ready for keppinger's first dinger He'd need those old school aluminum bats at this rate.
  22. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2013 -> 08:26 PM) way to make him pay If this keeps up, who's the first to get fired? Is Manto the fall guy, or do they just trade off everyone and blame the players? It will be interesting since the guys they would be trading are well-liked by Sox fans and not the likes of Swisher/Javy.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 6, 2013 -> 07:21 PM) Hahn, KW, Buddy...they are all there. Until it's proven otherwise, developing every day players is something they shown to be a major weakness. That's why we need to acquire players that have already been developed by other organizations (ie: Quentin)
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 6, 2013 -> 07:17 PM) We have been told Viciedo is what he is, as is Beckham. Both are potentially the two best offensive players the Sox have produced in years. (Which isn't saying much obviously)I am not saying it's definitely going to happen, but it can. I still can't believe people want the Sox to totally rebuild considering the players they have drafted and not developed and how prospects like Molina and Castro and Lillibridge, and the next Jon Garland, Jeff Marquez have turned out. Just to mention a few. Buddy Bell recommended Teahan and Keppinger and said Mitchell was a different player this spring. He gets promoted. A bigger voice. A rebuild would be a disaster. I don't believe Bell has done a very good job with the farm system.
  25. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 6, 2013 -> 07:07 PM) Alejando De Aza, a leadoff hitter striking out 30% of the time. Good f***ing lord. 4 players in everyday starting lineup that strikeout 27% of the time or higher.
