  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) Carlos Quentin with another long ball today. He can hit when he's healthy. He looks quite heavy right now. With that said, he's swinging great at the plate.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 08:33 PM) Makes you wonder whose idea it was... Clearly Jeff Samardzija
  3. QUOTE (59th street @ May 30, 2012 -> 07:11 PM) NO; the correct response is to WIN THE GAME! Thank you!!
  4. Sox need to add on a few. No way should this game be so close.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:36 PM) It was said earlier, but no way that AJ and Q are calling that. Those calls come from the dugout. Then I disagree with the decision by Ventura It is a hell of a lot better though than letting Delmon treat the Sox like his b**** and never getting retaliated against.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:34 PM) You have to fight back at some point. Beckham got drilled; AJ got drilled. I do agree it was BS he got tossed. I don't agree with the decision by Q and AJP though, but it's done now.
  7. That's just awful umpiring then.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) Wait, Robin got tossed too? What the f*** just happened? Automatic ejection for manager if a pitcher gets ejected after warning is given.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) Apparently there already had been a warning according to Farmio. If true, then shame on the Sox. If not, shame on the umps
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) It's called give warnings. Then it's fair to both teams. This is totally unfair to the Sox. I totally agree
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ May 30, 2012 -> 06:22 PM) Wow, that is the worst call I've ever seen. Really. Just the umps being big wimps after the Red Sox/Rays stuff last weekend.
  12. Hopefully we go with Jones/Thornton/Crain/Reed instead of trying to get Stewart and Ohman involved.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 07:19 PM) Q throws behind Zobrist and gets ejected, with no warning. Really stupid by Q and AJ
  14. QUOTE (kapzk @ May 30, 2012 -> 07:13 PM) that looked like a hit and run, Dunn was swinging at the ball in the dirt I've noticed this year that when there's a runner in motion, Dunn seems to lose all focus at the plate. Thankfully, the Sox don't have too much speed in the 2nd spot.
  15. Perfect time for one of PK's magical bat bloops into CF
  16. Yikes...would have rather seen Hudson get a pitch to put in play.
  17. Beckham at .171 with RISP. He gets a little jumpy, it seems
  18. Let's get one in, one over Hudson
  19. I love Stoney, but Hawk and Wimpy are just awesome
  20. 2006 first half of the season was the most fun, as there was no pressure coming off of the World Series and the team was just destroying the ball. This last two weeks have been extremely satisfying based on who we've beat as well as who's leading the way (Sale, Reed, Viciedo, Dunn, PK, Rios, Beckham, ADA). These are guys that will continue to be in the organization after this season.
  21. Get someone on for PK to extend his hit streak!!
  22. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:41 AM) Hope this lasts.. this is getting fun to watch. +1
  23. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:40 AM) First 4 innings, he was getting away with a ton of bad pitches. He sharpened up his slider big time though after the Matsui homer.
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:38 AM) That's the NL for you I know they have 4 starting pitchers out and Maybin is hurt, but this Padres team could easily lose 105 games. Stults is one of their better pitchers.
