  1. Mercy, another hanging breaking ball gets our hitter out. Plain and simple, Indians have crushed every bad pitch tonight while Sox haven't made Indians pay for their bad pitches. That happens
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:18 AM) They said the same thing about Earl Weaver. Just sayin Did Weaver let Mike Schmidt bat for Ripken Jr?
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2012 -> 03:17 AM) Just noticed that the thread title has the wrong year. Too bad it's not 5/3/08
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2012 -> 03:16 AM) I'd PH Quentin for Dunn. But I'm a gambler. You're also apparently crazy
  5. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2012 -> 03:13 AM) seriously, aren't we talking about the last few years? By my calculations, the Sox bench is 14/85 this year with one homer.
  6. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:11 AM) He was too... Javy blew up in the 6th inning...Danks is just blowing up whenever the Sox score.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:11 AM) Let's be real, his stuff was never very good. But at least he threw all of it I completely disagree with this.
  8. BTW, Sox have 4 guys in the lineup tonight slugging under .300. Something has got to be done about the 3rd base spot, as Escobar cannot hit.
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2012 -> 02:09 AM) John is just not pitching smart. I don't know why no one has made him throw all his pitches to lefties You're making it too difficult. His stuff sucks this year. He has no bite on any of his pitches.
  10. Hell, Javy was never this much of a choke artist.
  11. Wow, 8 for 12. Ventura just leaving him out to die when he had nothing that inning. Maybe the Sox can come up with a fake injury to give him two weeks of rest.
  12. Masterson probably gets the 7th, or until Dunn bats again
  13. There we go Rios! McEwing a little nuts there, but we'll take it. He should try to steal here
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2012 -> 01:46 AM) I will continue to hold out hope that Danks will find his groove this month. Sure, if we just don't score runs when he pitches You're right though, the history is there of him improving as season goes on.
  15. Ha, what a joke. Danks now allowed runs in 7 of the 11 innings he's pitched after Sox have scored. Hey AJ, stop calling fastballs!
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2012 -> 01:41 AM) Let's just skip it. 1 - De Aza 3 - Alexei 4 - Dunn ... 10 - Beckham I see no reason for Fukudome not to bat 2nd when he starts. It's not a big deal to have 3 straight lefties in the order if you know you're going to ph for Fukudome if he faces a LHP.
  17. #2 spot continues to be a black hole for this team. Alexei is 5-40 in that spot on the year.
  18. Escobar avoids the "Ventura commercial about fundamentals" jinx.
  19. Shades of after the ASB 2010 for Rios. Kotchman's defensive play there was pretty big for Masterson.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2012 -> 01:21 AM) I really think Masterson is nasty. He has always underperformed based on his stuff IMO He was better last year than Danks has ever been.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2012 -> 01:20 AM) I searched and I still can't find this lefty Solyndra on baseball reference. Must be someone that Wilder signed

    2012 Films Thread

The Change-Up was way better than I thought it would be...and I'm not talking about Danks. Probably one of those movies that you appreciate more when you have kids.
