There were similiar reports about Youk being annoyed by the bad attendance. Good thing he's considering the Indians then, he'll get used to playing in front of tens and tens of fans.

Great deal at only 4 million per considering how many teams were after him.

I also like having Keppinger in case the Sox move Beckham after this year and decide Sanchez is a better fit for 3B down the road.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Dec 5, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) Me either. Seems absurd for a bench player. But let's wait to see how much money. He'll be starting at 3rd for the Sox next year, and for about 40% of what Youk would have received if they picked up his option.

I've always been a fan of Keppinger, even back to his days on the Reds. I like it, now go sign AJ.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 5, 2012 -> 03:31 AM) Signing Hanrahan isn't a terrible move given the market for 3B. If you do bring him in, you better upgrade at some other position.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) One thing we really don't know is what the White Sox payroll is going to be. They always say they are right against it. Sometimes they don't spend another dime, sometimes they add $25 million to the payroll. To me, it seems like they're pretty much at their limit.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 06:44 PM) Has there EVER been a Heisman winner who didnt score a single time all season? Tim Tebow in college?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 05:44 PM) Has there EVER been a Heisman winner who didnt score a single time all season? I'm checking and I cant find one. That's why Tuitt would have been higher on my ballot than Te'o was. Speaking of that, my top 10 would have been: 1. Manziel (I was rooting for Alabama vs TAMU, and I couldn't believe how good he was) 2. Mariota 3. Klein 4. Miller 5. Tuitt 6. Te'o 7. McCarron 8. Ball 9. Lynch 10. Barner

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 06:33 PM) Teo is one of the least qualified finalists I can remember in recent history. I saw the first qualification on his sheet was "provided senior leadership." LOL Yep, it flat out is not a Team MVP award. Seeing the 4 Oklahoman writers all vote Te'o first was interesting to see, but 3 of those writers also didn't vote RG3 first last year. Heisman Pundit and SI predict it's Manziel to win, while USA Today survey has it very close (rumors are that the survey is made up of mostly writers from midwest/NE).

Don't know if I've ever seen a walk-off concussion before.

Two straight horrible defensive possessions for the Bears.

McClellin has been awful out there

Bears should call a timeout to give the defense a breather.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) Awful tackling. Shea with a pathetic attempt of a tackle there.

Nice prevent defense

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 06:00 PM) He's never seen a front 7 as athletic and fast as FSU. The speed of the game will completely different to anything he's ever seen. I'd be very surprised if this game was particularly close. FSU's speed on defense is amazing. FSU's defensive players are faster than Lynch is. I'm an NIU fan, but I think FSU would win by 2 TDs pretty easily.

Rick Majerus passed away

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 02:02 AM) I didn't watch the game very closely; where did all of Georgia's timeouts go? To stop the clock on Alabama's previous drive

SEC Title Game one of the best in recent memories. ND can definitely hang with Alabama, should be a great game. This outcome better have sealed the Heisman for Manziel.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 12:41 AM) That color commentator was such a homer. Valvano's brother

As an unbiased fan, ISU got screwed big time vs Louisville. That broadcast was awful, as they never showed the possible goaltending with about 15 seconds left. ISU looked extremely well coached.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 1, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) Hope saban puts those timeouts to good use during halftime. Awful no call on the hit to Murray. Spencer Tillman getting blasted on twitter for saying he's voting for Te'o for the Heisman cause he "likes his story".

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 1, 2012 -> 04:04 AM) Huskies It would be great for the program if Lynch can get an invite to NYC for the Heisman.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 30, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Skip Bayless says Te'o dominated for 12 weeks. The leaders of the Te'o for Heisman committee are Skip Bayless, Dick Vitale and Magic Johnson. What's next, Hawk Harrelson is going to say he deserves it?
