  1. Rios continues to have no idea how to slide. Never seen a player so fundamentally awful in every aspect of the game.
  2. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 12:34 AM) Please no hit us. Why not at this point? Don't worry, Rios' terrible mechanics resulted in a flare.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Ozzie Guillen. I say this not to be flippant or dismiss the post because a change might certainly happen, but my bet is since Ozzie has a contract for 2012 and Jerry ius a loyal owner, who likes both KW and Ozzie. 2012 might be the make or break year. that seems like it would be a very impulsive decision by JR
  4. Why no LaRussa banter when he's the most likely replacement?
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 02:21 AM) I hink anything that could go wrong, backfire or explode on this team has happened this year. So very frustrating. But, I don't see a ned to "rebuild". Some tweaking here and there and 2012 could be a lot better Wait until Tigers go out and spend money on some offensive upgrades at 3b next year and maybe another starter. They'll have available payroll and already have a lot of their core players locked up.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 12:12 AM) Really? Because I've been a lot more pissed than I am this week. Maybe it's because this game was on Fox so I didn't care. More with regards to the stuff going on in the media as well.
  7. I can't imagine how mad I'd be if we were like 2 or 3 games out
  8. Santos just didn't have his good slider. It happens...congrats to the Tigers. By far the best team in the AL Central. Oh, can we stop pitching to Cabrera at the end of games? Is that like 5 game winning homers off of us since he came to Detroit?
  9. If that doesn't get people fired, nothing will. Fitting end to the season. I'll say it right now...Flowers calls a better game than AJ.
  10. So...no jokes about Mitch Williams saying since Sale is so skinny, pitching in that storm would be harder on him than most?
  11. One of these days, Ozzie will realize that Ohman isn't a long reliever.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 11:04 PM) please don't tell me he's going to spend another september on the dl Who got hurt?
  13. Of course he is implying worse. Either Joe or a guillen tweeted last year about KW being out on the town with an anchorwoman
  14. What was said about T. Braxton? Probably just another past-their-prime former superstar that KW pursued, is that what the story is?
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) I will flat out say it. Joe Cowardly has made me much more anti-Ozzie in recent times. I really think Ozzie is behind him, which just infuriates me. I always thought Ozzie was going to Florida after this year. It stinks that the Sox might be losing some of the leverage they'd have to try and get some compensation for Ozzie.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 04:44 PM) Cowley definitely shifted some feelings with this interview To make KW more of a sympathetic figure?
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) It is past the ugly stage. We are now into the brown bag over the head stage Everyone knows I'm anti-Ozzie, but I truly feel the last week has seen a major shift amongst Sox fans with regards to Team KW vs Team Ozzie.
  18. Was it Cowley or one of Ozzie's kids that tweeted last year about KW being out on a date? Ugh, this whole thing is going to end up being so damn ugly.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 12:31 AM) When would he have used Benoit? They were losing by the 7th, he pitched two innings two days ago, and they have six straight games against the Sox & Indians coming up. I'm sure if they were up in the 8th, he would have pitched. Sorry, meant the throw-away part with holding Verlander back and then going with Turner, Perry and Coke. I'm not complaining, if they pitch Verlander in this game, it's likely another win for them we'd have to make up the rest of the way. BTW, is Al Al expected back soon?
  20. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 12:25 AM) That is a huuuuuuuuuuuuge leap to make from ankle injury to a detached lat muscle, sorry. Well, Sox mentioned it last year. Peavy said he developed bad habits in those glorious, ever-important three starts in 2009, and that the habits rolled over into 2010 where his mechanics put more stress than usual on his body.
  21. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 10:39 PM) I have a real hard time blaming KW for the production of Dunn and the injury to Peavy. He acquired Peavy when he had the ankle injury, and it seems everyone is blaming the ankle injury for the subsequent shoulder/back injury. So yes, KW took a huge risk with Peavy's ankle issue being no big deal, and it resulted in basically the beginning of the end for Peavy.
