  1. FYI, Humber didn't do too well in his rehab start. 5 innings, 4 runs
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:42 AM) Yea any reason being he got hit in the head with a line drive ? The Sox all but confirmed they were going to limit his innings as they felt he hit the wall.
  3. We'll take the little bloop. Come on Viciedo, avoid the double play!
  4. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:35 AM) Are you really making a fair judgement here ? I'm sure you haven't forgotten that Stewart would be in the minors or in long relief for the Sox if not for the injury to Humber. Not true, sounds like organization was looking for any reason to limit Humber's innings. Cooper's going to have to make Stewart basically a sinker specialist it seems, which is fine cause it worked well for Garland.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:28 AM) His first start, his sinker was filthy. Since then it is staying up and in the zone. I'm sure they'll make the excuse for him that he had to pitch in relief, and that hurt him for the rest of the year. Same BS they'll pull with Peavy.
  6. I know it's hard to project this, but that Cuddyer grounder was probably a double play if you walk Mauer. Same goes for that Kubel grounder if you walk Cuddyer with open base. Hawk is so pissed at Ozzie, and I'd like to see any of the Ozzie Guillen Kiss Ass Club try to explain his actions tonight.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:27 AM) Stewarts last start this season, I hope. Sadly, his stuff reminds me of Marquez more than Garland.
  8. Zach Stewart has no business starting in the majors. No plus pitches, and one of the most mediocre breaking pitches you'll see for a major league starter. I understand trading Jackson and Teahen to clear money, but our scouts did a terrible job in evaluating Frasor/Stewart.
  9. Again, that's the type of move that gets a manager sent to Florida. Please pull this mediocre pitcher.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:22 AM) someone up? Ohman starting to, it looks like
  11. Time to pull him Ozzie. Stewart has to not worry about the runner on the 3-2 there, as he rushed that pitch.
  12. I'd get Ohman up in the pen. With Thursday's off day, you should be aggressive with the pen and your #5 on the mound.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:15 AM) yeah gordon, those low outside sliders that start out of the strike zone. Those are yours, baby. Him and Morel swing like they're at bat with a hit and run call on
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:13 AM) isn't Beckham due for his monthly dinger? Not with that defensive swing on a 1-1 pitch. His "hot" streak lasted one game it appears.
  15. Wow, huge break there. We need a three run homer DV!
  16. You know what's comical? Kenny traded Hudson last year cause he didn't want to have to count on a young pitcher during a playoff run. So then, he turns around and trades Jackson for a very unknown commodity in Stewart who ends up pitching in some important games down the stretch of this year.
  17. You know what sucks about this all? Today should have been a good day for the Sox organization with them making up ground while getting contributions from young guys as well as Buehrle pitching a gem. Instead, Ozzie's posse decide today would be a good day to complain in the media about how all of this, and today was a real crappy day for Sox fans. You can no longer use the "he's trying to take the negative attention off of the players" BS excuse.
  18. Terrible pitch selection by Stewart. You can't throw a 2-0 fastball right there to Kubel. Color me entirely unimpressed by Stewart's stuff. He hangs far too many offspeed pitches with 2 strikes.
  19. Lots of trouble coming here for Stewart. Needs to keep the ball down in the zone.
