Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
I love hearing it's ok cause Teahen is a joke of a player. The same Teahen that has a career .739 OPS with 66 homers in 3125 at bats, while the GREAT Ozzie Guillen had a career .626 OPS with 28 homers in 7133 at bats?

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 12:29 AM) And that is completely irrelevant. Ozzie wanted his loser kid in the clubhouse and got his way, the kid abused that access when he took to twitter and starting taking shots at players, this is hardly the first time this has happened and I'm sure it will not be the last. Ozzie allowing his classless, juvenile son in the clubhouse then taking absolutely no steps to rein him in when he started making trouble has turned into a fairly major, multi-season distraction for this club. That on top of all the other bulls*** on and off the field with Ozzie adds up to a fireable offense. I can't believe players want to come to this organization, the Guillen's have turned it into a classless operation. Oh my, this is the best post I've ever seen on this subject.

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 12:05 AM) While Teahen shouldn't have started it (if he did), I'm glad that he did it. This is one more step in the right direction of firing Ozzie. Teahen has a great reputation in the big leagues with regards to his personality and charitable work. In no way is this a good thing for the organization that Oney is picking a fight with a classy player. With Jenks, at least we knew he had issues off the field.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 11:57 PM) peavy drives me nuts I hate him on the field, but it's not like he's a bad guy

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) I really do think there are a ton of likeable guys on this team, but the offensive struggles are just too hard to watch. I really miss the 2001-2004 teams at this point. Yes, the individuals on this team aren't unlikeable except for Rios. It's just the style of play and the results that make for a team that's been hard to support.

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:34 PM) As much as I love the White Sox(and I will until the day I die) it's becoming increasingly hard to root for this management group and this group of players. I never thought being a Sox fan would be this f***in hard. So funny you said this. I know you used to be the ultimate homer on here back in 2005, so your reputation on this site is clearly better than mine. Anyways, yesterday was one of the most annoying days I can remember with regards to rooting for the Sox and hoping to see them make the right decision. This year's team has been difficult to watch, as watching a chiropractic neck adjustment on youtube has been more enjoyable. There's a few players on this team that are easy to root for, but for the most part, this is a team that just hasn't connected with the fans (or the baseball).

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) You mean like what their wife looks like? I was referring to the Jenks situation over the offseason.

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) Do you mean physically or his reputation? Everything...I have no idea why any player would ever want to play for this organization if they have to worry that anything that happens behind the scenes could be fair game to be exposed to the media by the manager's kid.

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:25 PM) He never will, not with his daddy supporting him financially and allowing him to say whatever he wants about anyone at any time. He's still lucky that Jenks didn't destroy him.

Frank Statue
QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:36 PM) I still don't think Frank would be a good coach. He wasn't really a people person. He's way more personable now than he used to. I'm proud of how much friendlier he's become.

Unbelievable...I can't believe that people still defend him

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) Remember: Oney Guillen's antics are not a distraction to the club, no one in that clubhouse had any issues with his tweets, they are all his friends and he is a grown man who's allowed to do whatever he pleases, the fact that he's Ozzie Guillen's son and only had access to the clubhouse due to nepotism is irrelevant. The most shocking thing to me last offseason was how vocal so many Sox players were about how distracting the Ozzie/KW soap opera was. Yet, some people still think Ozzie's antics are "fun" and better than having an "uptight" manager.

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
Wow, if he really said that about Teahen and his wife, Ozzie has got to be fired immediately.

Ryan Sweeney wasn't too thrilled about the coaching he received with the Sox

8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) Indeed. I'd have to say that Rios might be in the top 3 for worst players in all of MLB. And continuing to put him in the lineup after dogging it repeatedly is inexcusable. It's embarrassing IMO. ?

8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
I don't get why Konerko can't play. Put him at DH, and it's not like you have to worry about him being able to run well at all. Can't really afford to fall more games behind Detroit.

8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
Should be a fun night...if you like watching a good MLB team face a AAA team.

God bless you Mark Teahen! It's so obvious what needs to happen with this organization.

2011 MLB Catch-All Thread
It's not amazing that Pujols has 7 homers in 52 career at bats against Dempster. What is amazing is that he's only struck out once against a righty with above average stuff in those 52 at bats.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Reading this article, it's kinda surprising to see Buehrle lacking confidence in the team. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,1882932.story

Okay, I'll try a J4L rant today
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 02:43 AM) Where was Matt Thornton? Tired because he had to bail out Bruney on Saturday night.

will the White Sox ever break the 500 mark again?
Tigers with no games left against Yanks or Red Sox, by the way

Okay, I'll try a J4L rant today
This offense has shown no sign basically since after the first game this year of being competitive. I feel like KW lacked the balls to make moves that would lead to fans using my new least favorite phrase "white flag".
-
Okay, I'll try a J4L rant today
Trading Jackson for a righty reliever did wonders for us this weekend! It is so infuriating how many bad decisions this organization has made the last three years. There is no excuse for Thornton to still be on this team.

7/31 Games
Way too many hits allowed by Stewart in this start.
