Get a slider and hit it into the bullpen Gordon!

Zero plate coverage for Rios

Now that we're going with a 5 man rotation, it's just stupid and ignorant to push Peavy like this.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:50 AM) It makes zero sense. This is far and away Ozzie's worst year of strategy with lineup, bunting and handling of his starters.

Way to go Ozzie putting that terrible player in the #4 spot against a LHP.

Quentin's approach at the plate has been terrible the last few days. He's making himself too easy of an out.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:40 AM) Why not? Worst that can happen is a solo HR. And maybe peavy can pull off the quality start. With C.C. on the mound and Robertson/Rivera lurking, you can't really afford to fall behind any more runs.

I'm fairly confident that Ozzie is trying to get Peavy killed out there.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:31 AM) Yes, at 17 million. There's a 22 million dollar team option for 2013, but I have a hunch the team won't pick it up. He's one of the three worst active starters in the AL, I believe

What the f*** needs to happen for our manager to get fired?

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:26 AM) There is nothing wrong with him. This is just the new Peavy. It looks like we have several more years of Lance Broadway starts ahead of us.... Isn't it only one more year?

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:19 AM) Says you. Teahen speaking out may shine a bright light on the douchebaggery of Oney and cause others to speak up. And that might lead to Oney getting his comeuppance and possibly be a large step in Ozzie getting the boot. In that case, it definitely is better to say something than to let this moron run wild in the media with nobody stepping in to stop him. Yep, sure sounds like White Sox players support anything and everything Teahen said.

Saw a great line from Red Sox announcers bashing Ozzie for batting Dunn and Rios back-to-back. Said something along the lines of "you're basically giving away 3 innings with 2 automatic outs in a row"
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
If Peavy stays in, there's no doubt Yanks are scoring at least one this inning.
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
Way to go Alexei. BTW, has he ever hit an opposite field homer?

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 02:12 AM) I agree, but I think Peavy's issues have nothing to do with the ballpark or even league adjustment. His stuff just isn't anywhere close to what it was during his San Diego days. Yep, and it pisses me off. I truly feel like San Diego was anticipating this, and it's something many of us were mentioning when the Cubs were going after him.

QUOTE (kapzk @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) I thought Peavy was gonna be so deadly when he came to White Sox cuz he would actually have an offense this time, and not get a no decision for his usual shutout or 1 Er he gave. But man who was I kidding, Sox offense is worse than the Padres I was thinking the opposite, as Petco is just a pitcher's heaven and the AL adjustment seemed like it would be hard for Peavy.
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
Haha, Hawk advocating playing for one run when you're facing a great offense.
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
On the bright side, at least it will be more interesting watching Stewart pitch the last month of the season than seeing Mr. Petco

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 01:48 AM) I would say I hope Kenny gets nervous and fires Ozzie to try and save this season (and maybe his job) sometime in the near future, but who knows if he's even allowed to fire Ozzie. Would you want to fire someone and be scared to death about what dirty laundry is aired in the media?

8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
Damn Swisher. And yes, Peavy wasn't that good prior to the big injury last year. He's just full of excuses, and his stay with the Sox has been an absolute disaster. It's awful to think that next year, Peavy/Rios/Dunn will make more money than some teams have for an entire payroll.
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
Can Peavy just retire. He has to be one of the worst starters in baseball
-
8/1 Yankees @ Sox 7:10
What will be his excuse tonight? Still blaming it on relief outing?

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
I love hearing it's ok cause Teahen is a joke of a player. The same Teahen that has a career .739 OPS with 66 homers in 3125 at bats, while the GREAT Ozzie Guillen had a career .626 OPS with 28 homers in 7133 at bats?

Teahen Vs. Oney on Twitter
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 12:29 AM) And that is completely irrelevant. Ozzie wanted his loser kid in the clubhouse and got his way, the kid abused that access when he took to twitter and starting taking shots at players, this is hardly the first time this has happened and I'm sure it will not be the last. Ozzie allowing his classless, juvenile son in the clubhouse then taking absolutely no steps to rein him in when he started making trouble has turned into a fairly major, multi-season distraction for this club. That on top of all the other bulls*** on and off the field with Ozzie adds up to a fireable offense. I can't believe players want to come to this organization, the Guillen's have turned it into a classless operation. Oh my, this is the best post I've ever seen on this subject.
