Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 02:18 AM) Aj is an idiot and he finally got burned during his antics. I don't feel bad for him at all. Me neither, but I hope we don't play him until he's completely healthy again. I don't want to see him try to be a warrior.

Nice DP, Alexei almost took off Gordon's head with the throw.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Twins are going to win their game.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 02:14 AM) Yeah, I don't think it's too serious. AJ was pissed like it might have been more serious, but it could have been a simple ankle turn basketball players have all the time. I've had a couple of those that were serious enough to be taken out of a game like AJ was. Hopefully it looked worse than it was, as that was more of a knee turn than an ankle turn.

For those saying we'd have the lead if Kotsay stayed at first, that would have probably been a DP hit by AJP. Wiggington would have been deeper.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Well, that might be the worst AB of Beckham's career.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
AJP should have just hustled and slid into 3rd instead of pointing for no reason. Hopefully it doesn't cost him the rest of the season.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Wow, AJP could have screwed up some ankle ligaments there. Hopefully he's ok.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Wow, what a lucky play all around! Thanks ump for that run.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 02:07 AM) That's all? He has 2 in 2 days. To be fair, he didn't reach base once for 2 months.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 02:06 AM) Hi my name is Mark Kotsay. I finally got a nice hit. Then I had moment of stupidity and ran on Nick Markakis. I was out by 15 feet. This is the kind of production that I bring to a team as its DH. That has to be his 6th out made on the bases this season.

ALEXEI, STOP SHOWING BUNT! Meanwhile, for second straight inning, Indians blow a 2nd and 3rd, one out situation.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Kotsay is the worst fundamental player I've seen on the Sox in a long time. This team just doesn't value outs.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
CQ acting like he's never seen a slider in his life.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 02:02 AM) Players should earn spots because of performance, not salary. If Teahen hits like s***, then I don't want him playing over better players just because he makes more money. That's how it should be, but good luck finding teams that work that way.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Ugh, Indians with some terrible situational hitting.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Indians with 2 on, no outs after a terrible call by umpire on a non-3rd strike.
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Anyone that doesn't project Teahen as an everyday starting player next season is nuts. We're not going to pay him 4-5 million dollars to be a utility player.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 12:53 AM) 6 innings, 4 hits, 1 run against a s*** pitcher. Typical August sox baseball. I have more confidence in Kotsay and Beckham to have good at bats than anyone else on the team when we're on the road. That's so crazy when compared to what I would have said two months ago.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Feeble swings that entire inning by our hitters. Millwood changed speeds a lot better that inning.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 8, 2010 -> 12:49 AM) I would be open to a Morel/Teahen/Vizquel battle for 3B in Spring Training next year. If Morel doesn't win, then he goes to AAA. If Teahen doesn't win, then he takes Kotsay's spot, and if Vizquel doesn't win, then he is one of our utility guys. And if that doesn't work out, at least we know KW will upgrade us at the deadline.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
The sad thing is our hitters have hit like 3 balls hard all night. Two of the hits were not hit hard. The last two games have been too similar to our offensive performances the first few months.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Twins got the lead
-
Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Very cheap leadoff double for Twins.

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
Now or never against Millwood. The Orioles bullpen overmatched the Sox last night, so time to get some runs.
