  1. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 01:32 AM) Do you say the same thing when a centerfielder gets fluid on his knee? Well, we would ask what exactly is causing the fluid
  2. Why did Buehrle start this inning?
  3. Thornton coming in to face Jones. Santos seems to have hit the wall, as he just isn't as sharp with anything lately.
  4. Santos really struggling with his control. Where's Putz?
  5. Ugh, bases loaded, as the tying man comes to the plate. Alexei should have tried to get the out at first!
  6. That 3-2 pitch sure looked like a strike.
  7. Quentin looks great at the plate!
  8. QUOTE (joeynach @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) Hes been doing that all year and its so obvious. Watch his left hip and left foot, every swing he takes his hip is open and facing the left field pole and his foot is pivoted that way too. Its a classic swing flaw that is corrected with proper mechanic approach, patience, and practice. Its almost a little league problem, similar to "stepping in the bucket". In a major league sense hitter do it to cheat on the fastball and open up early to try and catch up to velocity that they feel that are having problems covering. Problem is for Beckham he doing it on every swing, not good!! This might be the worst 4 RBI series of all time. But with the way he's going, I'll take it!
  9. sweet, he looked horrible, but gets the RBI.
  10. Beckham opened up way too quickly on the first two pitches.
  11. Ugh, stop chasing terrible pitches!
  12. Very strange feel to this game so far. Rios and Pierre struck out on terrible pitches.
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 12:09 AM) Has Omar found the fountain of youth? More like Lew Ford's magic wand.
  14. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) Why do people keep bringing this stuff up? Theres no way we trade anyone away right now seeing as how were finally winning.. AJ putting his arm around Konerko meant nothing.. Freddy isn't getting traded right now.. KW was looking for any excuse possible not to deal these guys, and hes finally got one.. once were done playing these AAA teams THEN we can start speculating about deals.. but when we are winning, it aint gonna happen.. WELL SAID!
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) I think shortly we're going to realize that my original title "Peavy's arm is f*cked" was perfectly accurate. According to the Score, he is scheduled to meet with KW to discuss his "options". He's going to go on the DL in my opinion.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) It's just nice to not try and avoid BBTN or ESPNEWS because I don't want to see another Sox loss. Heck, I'm excited to watch the game tonight. Agreed, I'm excited to watch as well!
  17. All signs point to Peavy going to the DL
  18. That Hudson stuff seemed pretty legitimate. Peavy needs to be placed on the DL immediately though.
  19. Pinto has very bad control...he's better than Williams, but that's not saying much. Also, it's interesting reading Reds message boards. They are freaking out about their starting pitching. Can't really blame them, as they're screwed if Volzquez can't return.
  20. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 02:42 PM) That would be a good bet. F***. He's terrible this year, I'm not going to be upset if the Twins get him. I'd rather they get him than an actual difference maker.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 02:55 PM) Shingo faded because he was old. And the Mariners closer also faded because he was old. And Iguchi? A common belief has always been that Japanese players age much worse than others due to the insane practices they have over there as well as pitchers throwing 200 pitches or so in games.
  22. The Hall of Fame induction video with O.J. was fascinating.
  23. Excellent...let's hope Peavy isn't seriously hurt and go sweep tomorrow!
