QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 07:33 AM) Thank you. Iowa f***ing destroyed Georgia Tech. The scoreboard doesn't do it justice. A slow big ten defense mauled one of the premier offenses in the country. EAT s*** and GO HAWKEYES and GO BIG TEN!!!! I agree, Iowa should have easily won by 3 touchdowns. I do find it funny that J. Dwyer, one of the better running backs in the NCAA over the last three years, had the final run of his career be his most memorable....a nice 10 yard run backwards for a near safety. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 07:33 AM) Better team in the 2nd half my ass. yep, I absolutely believe so. Did Iowa move the ball at all in the 2nd half besides up until GT had 10 in the box with 3 minutes left? I thought after the first 2 possessions, Iowa's offense was awful tonight. However, their defense was sensational, and they didn't need more points. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 04:47 AM) Bulls***, it was the same story of a "prolific offense" that hadn't seen a defense like the top few in the Big Ten. You give Kirk Ferentz 30 days to prepare for a team that relies on deception and overpursuit, and you are toast. Especially when you have a few guys that will play on sunday. They held the #2 Rushing offense in the country to half their production, and their lowest point total all season. Nice job Hawks. I'm not saying you're wrong. GT, IMO, was the better team in the 2nd half (after getting dominated in the 1st half) but 3-4 stupid decisions by GT cost them the chance to win. If these teams play 10 times, Iowa probably wins 7. I said all along it was a bad match-up for GT with Iowa's offensive/defensive lines. -

QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 04:40 AM) I don't know, seems like their problem was that he got injured and then they lost two games Yes, but they were playing awful football when he was throwing all those interceptions. The game against Indiana, for example. -

Congrats Hawkeye fans. My 27-13 Iowa prediction was pretty damn good. -

QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 05:33 AM) Iowa is well-coached and plays disciplined Problem for them is their only non-disciplined player was their QB this season. -

These teams are both pretty mediocre. Iowa's the worst offense GT has faced in 3 months, and GT's players seem to be on drugs tonight. Tons of dumb decisions/penalties. -

Wow, that was one of the worst fake FGs you'll ever see. Iowa should be VERY grateful he fumbled it out of bounds. -

Another masterpiece by Paul Hewitt tonight. I'm sure facing Duke on Saturday will be a great way for GT to get on the board in the ACC. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 01:37 AM) Iowa moving it pretty efficiently there. Shocking -
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but 2010-2011 is going to be an uncapped NFL season. Thus, if we had to pay 20 million to fire Lovie/hire Cowher, then how in the world were we going to expect the Bears to sign any free agents this offseason? I'm content with today's decisions....I'm happy Luke Butkus got fired, cause he's a real prick.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) Makes you wonder how Syracuse got away with it Cause while Carmelo was a stud recruit, he didn't have the hype and baggage that Mayo did. Everyone in the world knew that Mayo had his handlers looking to get him the best deal. I feel bad for the USC players, as they've had a great last month and really were peaking going into PAC 10 season. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 07:30 PM) Not sure why people think Iowa's offense will be all too dynamic. Put it this way: GT's defense would make a baseball lineup with Mark Kotsay as the DH seem dynamic. They have one superstar defensive player, and then the other 10 players suck! -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) Alright ramblin wreck, let's see what you've got... Not a lot of punts, not a lot of defense, not a lot of fans, and a whole lot of yards on the ground. I think Iowa wins this game 27-13. I'm just praying for a split today for GT, as they have a big basketball game at 6PM against Georgia. If GT loses both....it's going to be a long night for me! -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 03:31 AM) I just rewound Bischoff and Hogan. someone explain to me why that was so great. And crypt, you gotta stop worrying about the womens matches so much. Dear god I can't watch TNA for some reason. It's like watching Independent League baseball.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) Texas is right there with them. But yes, there's no doubt that they should be in the FF come March. Texas really struggled yesterday. Avery Bradley's been a bust so far this season, as Hamilton's probably their best freshman. I think Texas has amazing depth 1-10, but I'm not sure they have a scorer they can count on. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) I should re-phrase it, it seems a lot of people here are satisfied the Sox DH is Jones/Kotsay and wouldn't mind if that's how it turned out. I totally agree, so many justifications I see on here. It's truly inexcusable.

So after watching way too much college basketball yesterday, Kansas is far and away the best team in the country. Their defense is outstanding, great depth, and Self has them playing great. It's ironic, as their two superstars haven't even improved this season (Aldrich and Collins). Henry is the 2nd best freshman in the country, and the Morris twins impress me. As long as they stay away from football players, this team should easily make the Final Four. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 2, 2010 -> 06:13 AM) (500) Days of Summer was exceptional. Watching it with the wife right now, and 45 minutes in, I'm bored as hell. I hate the actress that plays Summer. She's not even attractive. If Minka Kelly was the lead actress, then I'd probably be more entertained.
