It's really disappointing that Crede went to the DL. Now that we have to keep Fields, the chances of improving the 2008 team are slim to none via trade.

Why are people talking about trading Contreras? The only chance he gets traded is after the deadline during the waiver period. He won't be included in any deal until he shows he actually can throw the ball.

I'm pretty close to getting behind a possible Duke for Fields/Poreda deal. I actually think 3rd base is a pretty easy position to fill, so I'm not worried about 2009 and on.

I bet plan A is Brian Roberts.
