  1. Even if it's not his fault, you HAVE to make a change or two. This pitching has been too good for this team to only be a few games over .500. These hitters that are struggling have no constant at the plate to go to when they need it. They look so stressed when there's RISP. I feel bad for Walker in some ways, as he gets so much blame when he does NOTHING that effects the actual game. However, he's failed at his "job" for so long, and this is the real world where you get canned if your area fails.
  2. Tuesday's a big game for the Sox. Greinke's possibly the filthiest righty in the AL. If the offense can have a good game against him, it sets up for a strong home stand.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) No. But you've been throwing that out there every day now. I think we all know by now that you think Swish was on something which I'm not sure I agree with but it definitely has legs to it. Just don't need to hear it all the time. That's jmo though. That particular comment I just made had little to do with Swisher, in all honesty. Bureau was on here the other day talking about how certain teams, like the Indians, have seen huge offensive declines since PED testing went into place. It just seems like the Sox are going through similar things, as they started off so strong in 2006, and then everyone just seems to have hit the wall since then.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:26 PM) Didn't have a problem with it. Linebrink has been awesome. Yes, Linebrink has been awesome. However, they would have ph Gomes for Floyd in that situation if we would have just let Thornton go out to the mound. From there, we could have just pulled him for Linebrink.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:24 PM) You need to give that a rest. Fair enough....so no PED reference for anyone? I know that's how it used to be on here, and then that policy seemed to change. Honestly, I have no issues with that. Thanks for clearing it up.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) Ya, there's no downside at all. It might not make a huge difference but things can only get better. Can we just find a PED supplier to infilitrate our clubhouse? That seems to be the one constant over the past few years.
  7. Like I sadly predicted, another single digit offensive weekend in a 4 game road series.
  8. That was the first career homer for Gross against a LHP. He had a .159 slugging against LHP before that at bat.
  9. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) Pure Swisher right there. Swings at the pitches he has no chances of driving and watching the pitch right down the middle for strike three. He is quickly becoming my most hated player. Game over. He was a roider in Oakland, plain and simple.
  10. And we lose on an 0-2 pitch. This team deserved to lose. Fire Greg Walker immediately, and you suck Ozzie!
  11. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:16 PM) They are all scared s***less They look so tight when there's RISP. It doesn't seem like anyone's having fun out there for the Sox.
  12. Unless Carlos Quentin is injured, Ozzie Guillen should be ashamed of how he managed today's game. This entire series has been a pathetic showcase of managing by Ozzie, highlighted by making it so Cliff Floyd could bat against Linebrink.
  13. Takes it right down the plate. WAKE THE f*** UP OZZIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is disgusting, I hate watching this team.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) Oz will probably PH BA. He didn't in the 8th inning.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) You have to PH CQ here, right? If you want to win, of course. Even if they walk CQ, Ramirez is a hell of a lot better option than Swisher.
  16. Swisher's batting instead of CQ? I hate you Ozzie!
  17. He got lucky, should have been strike 3.
  18. PK barely gets the job done. Sac fly time!
  19. The all or nothing boys are coming up. Give us a thrill.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) This pen is NOT this dam good as we are making them look! This Sox offense is just this damn bad.
  21. At least CQ's had a nice vantage point today.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) It's what have you done for me lately anyway isn't it? Doesn't matter about that, but quoting 2004 stats for anyone is foolish.
