  1. Well, we deserve this. This is about the most predictable rally in history.
  2. Oh boy....nasty blooper by Gomes. We have to do something to get the momentum back. A double play would be huge.
  3. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) 1st and 3rd with no outs and the popup and suck patrol show up. Suck patrol is a good name for Thome, Konerko, and Swisher.
  4. That was so freaking sad. Tampa has all the momentum now. Can we just put Thome on the 60 day DL for reason: washed up?
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 06:33 PM) And as a freshman his outside game was bad enough that it was actually a liability at times. I know this post will be Illini heavy but Luther Head is another guy who as a freshman was a mediocre shooter at best and he has become a great 3 pt shooter. There are tons of guards who weren't great shooters at 19 that become very good or even great outside shooters. Rose has great form on his jump shot and he is not near as bad from the outside as some people make him out to be. I'd actually be pretty surprised if Rose does not become a very good outside shooter. I believe it was at Indiana during Deron's freshman year. It was a shooting performance that would make Chester Frazier proud.
  6. OC's hitting rockets all over the place now!
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 04:49 AM) If Rose has no outside shot now, he's certainly not going to develop one in the pros. Deron Williams was a mediocre shooting during his time with the Illini.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 06:15 PM) Passed ball, please. Thome can't even draw a walk anymore. Pena's good defense that inning prevented the Sox from scoring a run or two.
  9. Looks like a line drive in the box score.
  10. Nice inning for Buehrle. More line drives for the offense please.
  11. Anderson seems like he's feeling for the ball now.
  12. Ramirez!!! Holy cow, Swisher must have had an unreal jump on that play.
  13. Nice rip by Swisher...he looked closer to the plate.
  14. Nice hit for PK...all of our righties have hit liners to the opposite field so far.
  15. Needless to say, Upton doesn't pick up Buehrle's move very well!
  16. It's so depressing watching Thome bat. He can't even catch up to 87 mph fastballs.
  17. Tampa has a pretty awful lineup out there as well today.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 06:03 PM) Quentin isn't playing. I understand that, as he could use a nice two day break. I assume it's just a day off, and not an injury?
  19. QUOTE (quickman @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 05:17 AM) Actually the solution to the hitting woes is coming to town in the form of KC. Thats when things will turn around. They will get there bats going at that time and then the confidence will carry to the next series. We are in first place by 2 games and we have not hit yet. we will come home and things will warm up. Except the first game will be tough against Greinke. Until Lethal Weapon 3 gets going, this offense is in a lot of trouble.
  20. Griffey Jr. sucks now, and the Reds have no use for a first baseman with Votto already there.
  21. I don't usually watch this EliteXC stuff, but if Gus Johnson's doing it, I'll watch!
  22. Sox haven't come back to win a game this year when trailing after 7 innings.
