  1. This umpire in the Cubs game is horrible. I guess Ted Lilly at the plate deserves more respect than Jim Thome.
  2. White Sox Georgia Tech basketball Bears whoever plays the Cubs Georgia Tech football Bulls
  3. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 01:37 AM) Just a nice solid win. Starter goes 7, hand it over to the big boys in the pen, call it a night. It's so nice to feel comfortable with a lead when the pen comes in. Gotta love games that are decided before an out is retired.
  4. Nice effort on that changeup by Jenks. The pitch was good, he just has to keep his motion the same.
  5. Jenks has struggled against the Orioles in his career, probably more than any other team.
  6. QUOTE (CWSGuy406 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 12:52 AM) That's irrelevant, but go ahead and try to argue it. He's got a strong arm -- probably one of the best LF arms in baseball (top five I'd guess without putting a whole lot of thought into it -- I could certainly be wrong, though). Even if his reads are bad, his speed and athleticism does a lot to make up for that. He's rated above average in LF in Tango's Fan Scouting Report amongst both National and Cub fans, and I'm fairly certain John Dewan has him above average in LF. He's not someone I think as one of the 'best' LFers (defensively) in baseball, but he's far from belonging on a list of the worst. He has one of the quickest, most accurate releases I've seen in a long time.
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 01:48 AM) Ks millar.....jose settling in well...we might see him next inning...not sure if thats good or bad I'm sure he'll be out there to start the 7th.
  8. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 01:44 AM) i feel pretty stupid for kind of wishing that detroit win at least one against Clev Tigers are a significantly better team than the Indians, especially if C.C. struggles.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 01:32 AM) Wow. Luke Scott with the accurate throw gets OCab. He was a RF in Houston....Baltimore has a fantastic throwing outfield.
  10. Ugh....even our faster players struggle to score on a 2 out hit from 2nd base.
  11. Crede's on pace to make 40 errors this year....at least he can hit
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 01:04 AM) Ozzie better bench Uribe's ass for not running to 1st on that wild pitch. How dare Uribe know the rules. No drop 3rd in that situation.
  13. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 02:12 AM) If there was ever a player meant for the DH spot, it's Adam Dunn. Ryan Braun makes Adam Dunn look like a Gold Glover out there
  14. Milwaukee might want to stop starting Gabe Gross and his .350 OPS.
  15. Soriano got hurt doing his stupid hop. Sad to see that they'll miss Santana next week at Wrigley. I always wanted to see how he'd fare against the Cubs.
  16. There's nothing better than going to a meeting from 2 to 5 and coming back to your desk to see that the Sox won.
  17. QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Atleast that was a 18-20 pitch inning for Eveland. I can't wait until Chicago's 3-4-5 hitters start hitting with consistency. A's bullpen is pretty good, and considering how righty dominant we are today, a right handed pitcher could come in and shut down this lineup.
  18. With AJ out of the lineup, we have to hope Swisher and Crede can come up big. I wanted Ozzie to shake up the lineup, but this seems more like a spring traing split-squad team. I wonder if Toby Hall will still be on this team in two weeks.
  19. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) If and when Owens is ready I would expect Ramirez to go down for seasoning. I wonder why Anderson isn't starting since Ozzie appears to have made wholesale changes in this line up. It's not even worth arguing about anymore.
