  1. Torii Hunter good, Joe Borowski bad
  2. QUOTE (WSox30 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) I meant that just announced who was giving the trophy to KU in san antonio. did anyone else hear that voice Yes, it was Gene Honda
  3. QUOTE (WSox30 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 04:00 AM) Was the PA announcer the same guy from the Sox and Hawks game? Would be very doubtful but it sounded identical Gene Honda
  4. QUOTE (Texsox @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) I think Fields is going to be a really solid player in this league, but at this point, I'd have a hard time arguing that Fields is the better player. The other wildcard you have to factor in is experience. Ninth inning of a playoff or World Series game, at this point in their careers, I'd rather have Crede out there. Again, not to discredit Fields, he's a young player with what looks to be a great future, but I just can't call him the better player. I've also seen too many one season wonders to announce his arrival. I hope he gets plenty of chances this season to continue to mature because I'm guessing he's the guy starting in 2009, perhaps sooner. Awesome post....the sooner everyone on here roots for Crede AND Fields to have good years, the better.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 02:26 AM) lol is there a story too or not? Him and Ryan Freel are the two guys I've heard the worst stories about.
  6. QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 02:02 AM) Is Matt Kemp ever going to play again? Tonight is the third straight game he's started on the bench. Ridiculous. Fields for Kemp, do it!
  7. There's good people, there's bad people, and then there's Rob Bell.
  8. Wow, never thought they'd turn that. I love having Uribe be the guy on the turn. That was fun!
  9. Jenks needs to use his offspeed pitch more when he gets two strikes. He doesn't have his velocity up to where it will be just yet.
  10. Well, I picked a nice inning to have to listen to on the radio during the bottom of the 7th. I've always loved Steve Stone's MAC references.
  11. The Twins are almost the opposite of the Tigers in terms of starters vs relievers. If you only get a few runs against the Twins starters, you're in a lot of trouble.
  12. Mike Lamb's one of the Twins best hitters. When you have an open base with him up, and the terrible Everett up next, you need to just put him on.
  13. QUOTE(joesaiditstrue @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 06:42 AM) does quentin's batting stance remind anyone else, besides me, of Kevin Youkilis' stance? Dante Bichette
  14. This was a great series. If the Sox go on to have a memorable season, one could point to this series as the momentum starter.
  15. QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 02:39 AM) I know its not a popular opinion on this board, but i still stay it is the dumbest thing in the world that crede and fields can't exist on the same team long term. i dont understand the huge push to get rid of crede. i know he is coming of surgery and who is agent is but there is no one who has hit more big hits then joe in the last five years on this team. The huge push is because Joe Crede intends on testing the free agent market!
  16. MacDougal got someone out on the first pitch! That might be the first time he's done that in a Sox uni.
  17. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 01:39 AM) Get that Bullpen up...LMFAO!!!! bring in miner or grilli...you know one of those losers. We're not done yet. I'd take the "loser" Miner on our team.
  18. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 01:39 AM) O.C., I command thee to start being clutch now! Can he just pretend that Garland is pitching?
  19. That a boy Swisher! No time like right now to impress me Cabrera.
  20. Pretty good speed by Quentin there. Keep the runs coming Juan!
  21. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 01:31 AM) Wow...he's made some nice plays out there. He's been a spark IMO. Not all about X's and O's all the time. The only thing he's sparked is the 2nd inning for the Indians in Game 1.
