5/22 gamethread: Indians (22-24) vs Sox (25-20); 7:11; CSN
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) I still would never trade his baseball card. I was thinking yesterday that my 3 favorite baseball movies are Major League, Little Big League, and Mr. Baseball. Randy Johnson jumping up celebrating after Griffey Jr. robs Lou to end the game is one of the best scenes in cinematic history.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 23, 2008 -> 01:55 AM) So much for Swisher being an offensive force with the move to a hitter's park in USCF. His home line was .200/.300/.314 coming into tonight's game. I'm just thankful that Gio and DLS have been brutal. There's no doubt in my mind Brian Anderson is a better hitter than Swisher now.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 23, 2008 -> 01:55 AM) Linebrink will be dead by July. As you made note of last week, PK is the one who's become Jerry Johnson. When he gets a single, people go crazy.

I missed a good portion of this game, but has anyone hit it to the opposite field besides Toby?

Next time we face Laffey, play all righties. He's just ridiculous against lefties.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:39 AM) absolutely no reason for dye not to be on first base.....the ball was sitting in center field...dye had all day to run to 1st after diaz called him out No drop 3rd strike in that situation.

5/22 gamethread: Indians (22-24) vs Sox (25-20); 7:11; CSN
Bad call by Diaz costs Dye a chance to knock in a run with less than 2 outs.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:34 AM) So is his OBP and his SLG% isn't impressive. His slugging pct is higher than Swisher's.

FWIW, it's games like this against soft-tossing lefties where I wish we had Josh Fields somewhere in the lineup.

5/22 gamethread: Indians (22-24) vs Sox (25-20); 7:11; CSN
As soon as this winning streak is over, it's time to start getting Anderson some reps and sitting PK and/or Swisher until they do anything.

DJ- "UH OH"
Why can't everyone's home run call be like mine "Get the f*** out of here".

5/22 gamethread: Indians (22-24) vs Sox (25-20); 7:11; CSN
Laffey's been spectacular this season, especially against lefties (.26 WHIP). We'll only have one lefty in the lineup tonight.

Hamilton
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 22, 2008 -> 10:43 PM) I would think at some point you stop pitching to him, and let other guys try and beat you. The guy is insane. Especially with 2 outs...that's insane.
