  1. Big out, as Sheffield grounds to Crede who gets Thomas out at home.
  2. I wonder how much this "bitter" controversy is going to hurt Obama. All I've heard the last few weeks is that Obama's only chance to lose this nomination is if he says something stupid. You have to know Hillary knows this, and they won't let this fade into the background.
  3. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:33 AM) ^^^ Agreed Snacks and Cakes seems to be working real hard his free agent season. He may hit .225 this year with his approach. I'm really confused by his "new" approach. He's really far off of the plate. The problem is this is inviting the opposing pitcher to throw even more sliders than usual. We all know these are the pitches that Uribe struggles with. If anything, he should be right on top of the plate.
  4. A. Ramirez is a waste of a roster spot right now. Hell, at this point, I'd take Timo on our bench.
  5. Swing the fricking bat. Very disappointing performance tonight.
  6. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:21 AM) Get used to that, he and uribe are in payday mode. Homers pay a lot more than singles. I'm just grateful Crede's been clutch so far.
  7. Nice to see Crede trying to hit a homer when down 3.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) have the Sox ever rallied against Jones? Yes, I believe like 7 years ago in Detroit.
  9. At least MacDougal made the pitches necessary to keep us in this 9th inning. Can we at least get the tying run to the plate? And if Toby Hall bats this inning, there's going to be another post made in the negative thread.
  10. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:10 AM) I see MacDougal brought his A game tonight. This will be a better team when Wasserman is called up for MacDougal.
  11. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:07 AM) I think the noon start tomorrow has a lot to do with it too. Absolutely
  12. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 04:04 AM) I tell you what...if he doesn't sit Uribe's ass pretty soon I'm gonna be pissed. He is worthless out there. btw...too lazy to look back....but why was AJ out of the lineup tonight?!? Facing a guy who's much better against lefty hitters. Of course, not sure why Thome got the start.
  13. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) This team has it's collective head's up their ass tonight. Hopefully they're done reading their press clippings from Tuesday, and start playing good baseball again.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:58 AM) That has been a strike all night. That was way low, but it won't matter.
  15. Swisher just chased ball four. These guys just can't get it done tonight...oh well
  16. QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:54 AM) It's only one game. We are still 5-4. If someone would have told me we would be 5-4 before the season started after looking at our schedule I would take it in a heartbeat. Great sig
  17. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:52 AM) That and giving days off to people who have had 2 days off this week is another pisser. Have to make sure that Hall makes it into the lineup enough. Its not like AJ caught 5 games this week. Swisher is out for what. To rest him from the day off he had yesterday. Or the game he came out of early on Wednesday. Hip flexor for Swisher.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:51 AM) How do you come up with that by just watching gameday? Does it say that after a pitch or in the box score? Maybe his picture is bad?
  19. QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:50 AM) im watching gameday here and it looks like dotel is going to eat all of reinsdorf's money this year. he doesn't look inspired out on the mound. He'll be a decent 7th inning guy. He's better than what we had last year.
  20. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:48 AM) OK, NOW you can probably walk away from this game for the evening. No reason to think we're gonna remember how to hit against the Tigers, AND Ozzie is gonna go ahead and see if we can use all the pen tonight as well. Extremely disappointing game. We always face an uphill battle tomorrow, hopefully our big boys can get going.
