What a great play by DeRosa. Terrible AB by Iguchi though.
-
Iguchi and Mackowiak = taken over Rowand's role of fouling pitches off to the opposite field.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) Sox have something brewing, lets hope they can get a few out of this... How about a 4th straight game with a three run inning?
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) There's no way that Hunter deserved it though he only played half the season, I do agree that Rowand made a good amount of mistakes and I definately agree on the arm but there's really no one else in the AL who deserved it more than Rowand (Kotsay especially.) I don't even remember who won it....I think it was Hunter? Ever since Palmeiro won the GG at 1B, in a year where he primarily played DH, I don't really take the award that seriously. I still think Vernon Wells is a damn good CF.

QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) rowand should of won it last year.....then why is everyone saying crede should win it? u just said it, they are better....i like chavez at third over crede Rowand didn't deserve it last year. He made too many miscues towards the end of the year. Also, his throwing arm was terrible last year. It doesn't even come close to comparing to the arms of the top CFs like Jones and Hunter.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:33 AM) I didn't realize that he had that many errors already. He's got 6, which is twice as many has he had all last year. That's gotta be a concern. I'm not saying that we need to replace him, but it'd be nice if he'd get his head out of his ass. The errors are even more disturbing when you factor in that he has one of the worst throwing arms in baseball.

QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) i think chavez will win just because its a reputation thing. like no matter how good or bad jonez, hunter, ichiro, rolen do, they always win it Or maybe it's cause those guys actually are the best fielders?

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) Mr. first half, Ballpark in Arlington, against RHP goes deep. Before anyone makes any dumbass "another HR givenup by Javy" post, it's only his 6th homer given up this year. Yep, he's been great keeping the ball in the park. The only reason I predicted that it won't be the only homer is just due to the ball flying out of this park.
-
It's about time their 3-4 did some damage. That won't be the only homer they hit tonight.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) Just to let everyone know Joe Crede will be winning a gold glove this year. That's right he's actually going to get enough national attention to warrant winning the award. You can take my word for it especially seeing how I'm just about the most pessimistic person around these parts when it comes to players winning awards. HEY PIERZYNSKI EAT THIS, b****! I predict he won't. I could care less about awards....I want him to get it going again offensively. His bat speed is real slow right now.
-
Good inning for Vazquez. It would be nice to get contributions from the bottom of our order tonight.
-
I fully expected this lineup tonight. Dye sucked vs Padilla last game, and he was due for a day off. We face a lefty tomorrow, so Anderson will be back in CF, and Ozuna will be in LF. Stay hot Pods
-
Ozzie showed great timing with Garland. His pitches were up in the zone in the 6th inning. Something I criticize Ozzie on is that he's not proactive enough getting guys up in the pen. I'll applaud him for getting Cotts ready at the start of that inning.
-
NASTY! There's not a hitter in baseball who hits that. Great pitched game tonight. One of the best all-around pitched games of the season.
-
No walks!!!

Here comes the hook

QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:45 AM) Run(s) When it comes to the bottom of our order, you can't get greedy.
-
Not a good start. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:44 AM) Not a good start. Damn, Dye is so f***ing slow. I'm telling you, that extra run we couldn't get in during the 8th inning really hurts.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:39 AM) I almost want to see Mac here for 3, give Bob the day off... If you do that, he's probably done for the rest of this series. Hopefully he's be able to go on Thursday if needed.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:37 AM) Yep, he's gonna have a tough go round against the best of the Rangers. Wow, Guchi just missed a solo shot. It would be nice to get an insurance run courtesy of Thome.
-
Great game Pods!
-
Great job by Cotts/McCarthy. If Jenks can't save the game with at least a 3 run lead, you tip your cap to the Rangers. He'll have their 3-4-5 next inning.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) Now its up to Anderson. Uribe really jammed himself. What a f***ing terrible pitch to swing at. Either way I'm not pinch hitting here cause I want the defense out there. Plus I got faith in BA. Salami time. I disagree. You try to get an extra run or two on the board. Cintron's a suitable replacement at SS...you could do a lot worse defensively. Lets hope we don't regret that inning.
-
Uribe going to bat for himself? I'd love for him to prove me wrong, but I'd rather see a ph here. Yuck...that was ugly. I have no clue why he was allowed to bat there.
-
Lets get this run in. I wouldn't mind seeing Gload or Cintron bat for Uribe.
