QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) Are you really this clueless? Perhaps it's happeneing tonight because he bashed their brains in Monday, and beat them last night. So why do it when you're actually winning? What does pulling the starter out have to do with anything? I don't think Buck's the type of manager to act like that.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) He wasn't risking getting tossed because he wasn't warned the first time he threw right at Pierzynski on the first pitch. Doesn't matter this year, I thought. The rules have been changed where pitchers can get tossed without having a warning. The first time, I thought it was intentional. The second time, I really don't think it was. Hawk really is acting like a whining baby now, by saying we should go after one of their better hitters. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) :rolly Whatever. There was never a warning issued, so why would he get tossed after the second HBP? What's Ozzie's and Showalter's relationship? Vile. But that's irrelevant. If they were going to throw at guys, why not on Monday night when they were down 5, and not up 5? Gload with the great scoop....in RF.

Does Hairston Jr. always come up vs the Sox in a possible bean ball situation?
-
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) outstanding here comes a little game called 'bean ball" At least Hawk will have the unintentional comedy factor going.
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:09 AM) It was the first pitch and he could afford the baserunner with a 5 run lead. There's plenty of time left in this game. If they wanted to hit AJP again, they could have waited a few innings when he wasn't leading off the inning. And trust me, with a 5-0 lead, Padilla's not going to risk getting tossed and losing out on the chance to get credit for the win.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:07 AM) Joe is uber cold right now. LOOOOOOOOOONG SWING
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:06 AM) Bulls***. Look at his fastball. It has that tailing movement back over the plate. That last pitch wasn't that far inside.
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Best way to respond? 7 run inning. Yep...I'll gladly take the leadoff runner. And 5 runs is not too much to overcome at this park.
-
Wow...shut the f*** up Hawk. He's such a sore loser. That wasn't intentional...it was an inside fastball that just stayed inside. He's not meaning to hit him leading off the inning.
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) like padilla did? You're not making any f***ing sense. For every time a pitcher keeps the runner from scoring, there's about 9 times where it leads to a run and possibly more in that inning.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) Ya, lets pull him, and completely blow out the pen for the next few days.... Oh, I don't want him to get pulled. I completely agree with you on this point. However, I still don't think if it was 8-0, he'd pull him.
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) I hate this ballpark. Please get out of this inning already. How the hell did DeRosa get so good? Because they have a sensational hitting coach who actually adjusted a hitter's mechanics.
-
Ozzie won't pull him, cause how he can get a win? This is getting embarrassing for Vazquez.
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) GOOD pitchers pitch over the bad D. he could have gotten the outs after the missed plays. u'll see JG, will give up his 4+ runs a game his next few outings sigh...4-0 How do you pitch over a horses*** left fielder playing the first out of an inning into a triple?
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:57 AM) basically all his good outings came against s***ty hitting teams(kc) He's done great against Cleveland this year.
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) he would have sucked...his ass got saved by ozzie and cotts. he wouldnt have finished the 6th That's one of the dumbest statements I've seen in a long time. His defense failed him last night, and he still pitched well.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) This is why I've had a bad feeling about Javy ever since the first half of 2004. I'm actually quite content with what he's given us so far. He seems to give up a ton of base runners now, but at least he's keeping the ball in the park.
-
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) just like gar... Garland pitched his ass off last night.
-
Ugh....vintage Vazquez. You could see this inning coming the second Konerko flew out.
-
First pitch fastball? Not a good pitch.
-
Huge play there. If he can get Tex out here, the momentum is back on our side.
-
QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) It was a nice play, but some of you are making it out to be the play of the century, which it was not. If Crede made it, Hawk would have been saying it belongs in Cooperstown as the play of the century.
-
Rangers have all the momentum to have a big inning now. Crede just looks a little off right now.
-
This isn't good.
-
What a great play by DeRosa. Terrible AB by Iguchi though.
