  1. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:07 AM) all i know is we will see santana, mateo and putz tonight and they are real tough. Mateo blows
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:06 AM) I heard a rumor that Wimpy was always drunk and unprepared for his job. I always heard it was due to the allegations that were going to be brought up, and Wimpy didn't want to be in the spotlight. I guess not.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:05 AM) Last night the trivia answer was Tom Petorack. Hawk said NOTHING after it, sort of odd. Then DJ said something about him being a good ball player, and Hawk said,"Yes,yes he was" then silence for another 15 seconds. It was awkward when they replayed it, but I didnt notice it AT ALL last night. I might have missed the whole conversation, but they said on MJH today that Hawk was responsible for getting Wimpy let go.
  4. Some awful swings tonight. Everyone's swinging for the fences.
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:00 AM) I wish I heard it, care to summarize? f*** not good at all by JD after a 2-0 count, awful Basically said that all of the announcers in the Sox organization (Farmer, DJ, Rooney) hate Hawk. Said he's an egomaniac and does absolutely nothing to help others out.
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:57 AM) Hawk given up on PbP for tonight??? If anyone listed to M, J, and H today, they talked about how much of a prick Hawk is to DJ. I had never thought about how he doesn't really seem to help him out during the broadcast. Anyone else hear this part of the show today?
  7. Man....some awfully long swings still in the 4th inning. If we don't cut our swings down, this game's going to get late real quick.
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:53 AM) Why do you say that? He still gave up a hit to Jose Lopez. :headshake
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:50 AM) Uribe needs to do some cardio in the next offseason. He is getting puffier every season. In fact, Cardio all the way around for the team next years offseason. Looks like some guys had a case of "the banquet circuit". If it means that they're eating too much with all the celebration of a championship....then I'll take a couple of porkers on next year's team.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:50 AM) Uribe needs to do some cardio in the next offseason. He is getting puffier every season. In fact, Cardio all the way around for the team next years offseason. It's not fat....it's muscle
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:48 AM) Buerhle's inning has nothing to do with Widger. It has to do with him hitting a guy and getting a ball up to Lopez. Buehrle had thrown about 4 straight slow pitches on the outside to Lopez. If you look at his swing, he was sitting on that pitch. It's the same thing that happened when Widger was calling pitching with Politte on the mound vs Sweeney. Big league hitters will adjust to pitches if they can establish a pattern.
  12. Iguchi couldn't have played that better.
  13. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:46 AM) Aces limit damage. It's time for ours to keep this lead at 3 runs. Step it up, Buehrle. Tonight, the offense may not give you 10 runs to work with. Aces usually get to pitch to their personal catcher, no matter who's on the mound against them.
  14. Fathom = misses Ozuna leading off vs lefties (if only he could play a position)
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:41 AM) Uribe grounds out, 0-11 on the series Seattle keeps pitching him outside, and he's not coming close to getting a hit.
  16. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:40 AM) I really like Widger as a person--but he's a s***ty backup catcher. He's the best backup catcher we've had in a long time.
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:36 AM) A.J. CERA - 3.20 Widger CERA - 9.00 Weird You notice a definite pattern with Widger behind the plate.
  18. Widger hasn't caught Buehrle before this game (this season), correct?
  19. I can't remember the last time we didn't have an awful showing in the final game of a series at Seattle. I remember Garcia's debacle of a start last year, a blown save by Koch on Sunday Night Baseball, and a game where Willie dropped a routine fly ball in CF and Buehrle got destroyed.
  20. Vintage Widger catching.....everything slow and outside. He makes it so easy for the hitters to adjust.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:32 AM) You are the king of overreacting. ^^^^^^^^^^
  22. We're about to be a in hole early in this game.
  23. Ugh...I hate the way Widger calls the game.
  24. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) I like your confidence. I wish had that same level of it! Wash always gives us fits. Widger and Konerko are our two best threats vs Washburn tonight.
