  1. Is it too early to consider a PH for Anderson if he comes up with 2 guys on?
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) If Dye would have hit the cutoff man, Javy might have gotten a DP out of the third hitter.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) How has Anderson sucked today? Score? Inning? Had a pathetic K with the bases loaded in the 2nd, and hit into a DP with them loaded in the 3rd.
  4. QUOTE(FlaCWS @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:22 AM) This isn't a second-guess. About 4 batters ago I was wondering why no one was up in the pen. It was clear that Vazquez was struggling. And he's still out there getting hit. I don't get it. I have a ton of confidence in Javy, but on this night he didn't have his stuff. He should've been out of there at 5-4 IMO. If you've seen one Ozzie managed game, you've seen them all. He'll almost always keep that starter in to finish the 5th inning.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:19 AM) Can someone give me an overview? Inning? Score? Outs? Yeah....Brian Anderson sucks. We should have had a 5 or 6 run lead. Instead, Vazquez is doing his best Garland impersonation from this year.
  6. Great piece of hitting by Glaus. The first of many high earned run games for Vazquez at the Cell.
  7. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:15 AM) What a horrendues inning/outing for Vazquez. McCarthy coming in soon? McCarthy isn't pitching tonight. If he does, I'll go to the Cell and punch Ozzie in the face.
  8. How many hits can Vaz allow with his curve tonight?
  9. Vaz serving up meatballs to let the Jays back in this game. That curve is just flat tonight.
  10. We're leaving a ton of guys on the bases today. It's great to continue to get runners on, but it would have been nice to give Vaz a bigger cushion.
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) Sox now 2 off the league lead in walks. Thank you Mr. Thome
  12. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) Nice K by Vazquez. Hillenbrand was seeing him well. Yep, he made a good pitch there. Vaz's curve isn't as sharp as it was last game, but he has better location on his fastball.
  13. Brian Anderson is our best option for CF right now. If he's to be replaced by someone better, it would have to be via trade.
  14. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:47 AM) Griffey? I too hope that is a joke. Not only does he have no range in CF anymore--possibly the worst "every day" CF in the bigs, but he's now an average hitter, and cannot stay on the field at all. If Griffey is an average hitter, I don't want to know what you think about our LF, CF, and SS.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:43 AM) Wow. This is Brandon Mccarthy part 2 on here. I agree. However, does that mean Anderson needs a stint in the minors to regain his confidence?
  16. Man...that's absolutely pathetic. At least we got 2 runs...but should have been more.
  17. Scouting report on Walker.....he has a very good slider. Our righties have got to lay off of that pitch.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) GOOD SPEED ABOARD. If only AJP was on the bases also. They make Thome look like a speedster.
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) And people wonder why I criticize our minor league system. Anderson's loopy swing is continually exploited by major league pitchers. His plate approach isn't exactly good, either. What's funny is he's the best we have in a position of supposed strength. It just seems like the hitters we call up from the majors have a very hard time adjusting to the "speed" of the game. Anderson has no confidence at the plate right now.
  20. Great inning by Vazquez there getting us back in the dugout.
  21. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) I like how you pull these posts up after something good happens. Try replying to them when they are actually made, rather than later.
  22. Wow....a bases loaded hit from our leadoff man? Way to f'n go Pablo!
