  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) That radar is 35 minutes old. The grounds crew looks to be getting ready behind home plate.
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) Anderson isn't much of a drop-off, in any at all, from Rowand. I think Ozzie knows how good he is out there. Trust me, I'm not disagreeing with you. I honestly do like Ozzie's philosophy of going down with your core guys. However, that doesn't mean you can't sub them out once every two weeks.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) I agree, I'd probably give him and AJ another day off. Everett earned himself another start with that triple. Jose please please put it on cruise control from here. We could really use it again. Everett earned himself the starting spot for the rest of the year. As dire as things have been, that was a huge, huge hit.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) I'd give him a couple nights off. Let Anderson play a little bit, get Rowand's s*** straight. I can't imagine Ozzie doing that with the big center field here.
  5. BTW, did anyone notice that Everett went back to hit 2 strike stance during that AB? I hadn't been noticing it recently.
  6. That was a big run squandered on 3rd. Can't get greedy though with this team.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) Still a few innings away. Damn
  8. Anyone have any clue how close the rain is?
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) I will cry if they have a 3-1 lead and the game doesn't get past the 5th. CRY I tell you There will be enough time to get in the next inning. Contreras just has to hold them down.
  10. Rowand...hit the ball in the f***ing air!
  11. Maybe the Tigers will forget and leave their SS back for Rowand's AB?
  12. GOOD CALL OZZIE!!! That ball hung up so long, I was worried Granderson was going to come flying into the picture at the last second. I was worried for jphat's health for a second.
  13. I'm so thankful that Everett is playing.
  14. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) I think we also can look at Uribe's recent run of success. He added a little leg kick and took batting tips from a DIFFERENT HITTING COACH...then goes on a tear...then after working with Walker again for a few weeks, he's right back where he started. I don't know why you people cant see it. The Indians, WITH the offense they have, had this same problem, saw it...and fixed it. We sit back on it and say it's not his fault. Yea...it is. Trust me, most of us want Walker to be fired at the end of this season. SSI has been on his case all season. However, this blame goes on the players now. They need to grow a pair and focus with RISP.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) Problem is the Sox don't have anyone that can hit 8th. Pick your poison all 3 of the candidates suck right now (AJP, Everett, Rowand) and they can't all hit 8th. Why hasn't Dye been given the chance to hit 3rd?
  16. AJP trying to pull the outside changeup. He should be batting 8th, and not 3rd. AJP has been rather disappointing during the stretch run also. I expected more intensity out of him.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) I'm not near ready to fire Ozzie. Not at all. It ain't his fault this offense can't hit. Sure he's done some things bad from the x's and o's stand point but he's done a lot of good in the clubhouse. I actually think he won't be fired, but he'll quit after this season. It definitely seems like a possibility he could go after the Marlins job when it opens. I wouldn't blame him, as the Chicago media is pretty harsh.
  18. Thankfully Contreras has shown he can handle the stretch run pressure.
  19. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Wow. Greg Walker needs to go. Yesterday. This isn't Walker's fault now. This is a choke job in front of our very eyes.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) All I know is this, if I were a GM, I'd think long and hard about hiring DJ as a manager. I've long thought he'd be an exceptional candidate. I know a lot of you hate him, but the guy knew how to play the game (he wasn't great) and he's always talking about the suttle things he was taught that the Sox aren't doing. The next manager should have no connections to the Sox organization. This hasn't been a successful franchise, and fresh blood is definitely needed.
  21. We're going to lose this game, and we flat out deserve to.
  22. Iguchi is another person who looks absolutely worn out. He can't hit a ball deep to save his life, and his bat speed is also non-existant.
  23. There's our great run producer. What a f***ing awful AB.
