  1. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Why isn't Iguchi in this game again??? Ozzie said he needed a rest. With the way he's looked at the plate, I agree with the manager. Iguchi can complain all he wants about sitting out, but the eyes don't lie. He looks gassed.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Classes are overrated anyways. Sox take priority I know I had to save up work hours to take off for next week if the Sox make the playoffs. It was a tough, tough call though to go to work today.
  3. QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) That seemed like the inning to knock it in the Grille. And take him out. I'm not able to watch the game, but it seems like we're hitting him very well. Too bad it's not like 6-0 already. Garcia just has to shut the Tigers down, and not give them any reason for momentum.
  4. What did Rowand do? Sounds like we're hitting the ball hard. Garcia needs to go out and shut the Tigers down, and keep this momentum.
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) There is no going back now, Fathom. You have admitted your sick addiction to Dana Jacobsen. Your only choice now is to get some sasquatch counseling and attempt to move on with your life. God Speed. If only it was Pam Ward, I'd be in love
  6. I can honestly say this is the first time I've watched Cold Pizza since the morning of the whole Nomar/Ordonez trade speculation.
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) No, I don't think that...but I mean man come on...it'd be so easy for me to sit here and say that you're really grasping at straws. Come on! The whole thing was just a joke. I thought it would be funny to post that on here because so many people think that ESPN hates the Sox.
  8. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Carl is the only one with a "show off" home run hit, right? I've been trying to think of somebody else that does anything "show-offy" and I can't thin kof a single person besides him. That's one of the things I love about this team, they hit a home run, they just run the bases and get back to work. Pods and Ozuna show off a little too much when they hit homers.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Fathom...there's just something about the fact that you're the one posting this which really disturbs me. Huh? I hope that you don't think I really believed what they were saying?
  10. Two psychics just predicted on Cold Pizza that the White Sox weren't going to make the playoffs. The funny thing is that one of the psychics said that the cards suggested the Ozzie needed to change the lineup. I guess I can just not watch the rest of the season.
  11. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:49 AM) Cantu is a solid bat but like Upton can not play the field. Compared to Upton, Cantu is a gold glover. Cantu is likely the most underrated player in baseball.
  12. QUOTE(rowandrules83 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:47 AM) that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. i can't think of one legitimate sporting goods shop that would ever carry 30 d-rays hats That might have been the perfect answer to that question. Bravo!
  13. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) Could just mean that you werent sure whether we would play the Angels, Yankees, or Red Sox (or whoever else makes the playoffs) No, I meant it as "if" we make the playoffs and play the Angels. With my track record, I didn't think I had to state that particular line.
  14. QUOTE(rowandrules83 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 02:54 AM) it doesnt matter if the red sox win or not. its simple logic. if the sox win tomorrow they clinch not only a playoff berth but a tie for the division, correct? since the best cleveland could do then is tie us, and since in this hypothetical situation the tribe has tied us and the sox have clinched a berth, that means the indians clinch a berth too. and because both teams would already be in, the sox would be awarded the division with a win tomorrow, no matter what happens the rest of the year with boston and cleveland THIS IS THE ACCURATE SCENARIO
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 02:51 AM) fathom has put us in the playoffs. "IF"!!!
  16. If we play the Angels in the first round, Pods won't be running much with B. Molina behind the plate.
  17. If both teams are in the playoffs, they don't have a game to determine who goes where. It's head-to-head.
  18. MVP- Konerko Pitcher- Contreras/Garland Surprise- Cotts/Politte/Hermanson Disappointment- Rowand/Shingo
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 01:57 AM) Its an interesting question. But one I would LOVE to face. Yes it is.
  20. Here's a question I waited for the game to end to ask: If the Sox win tomorrow, they win the AL Central due to head-to-head tiebreak. Do the Sox go all out against Cleveland, or rest the pitchers/players?
  21. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 01:42 AM) And just for the record, I agree with you Randar that Rowand is overrated on this board defensively. His arm is what seperates him from the top defensive players.
  22. Wohoo! If I smoked, I would need a cigarette. But since I don't, I'll have to get a slurpee.
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) Thats a solid average. Big difference between Dunn and his .250ish avg. Yes it is. I didn't know we were referring to Dunn in that situation.
  24. Why does this have to be difficult? Thankfully Shelton's fly ball was just a long out.
  25. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) They all hit for average though. Manny was in the .270-.280 range this season for a while, but was still driving in runs.
