  1. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) I bet neither one of these f***sticks hits 40 homeruns in a normal f***ing ballpark. 250 ft shot is a homer, and that's foul in any other park. Those are two of the best power hitters in baseball. For every cheap homer they get, they probably hit a rocket off the monster that would be gone at any other park.
  2. I'm not seeing the game, but Freddy sounds less than sharp today.
  3. Garcia's struggled all year holding the opposition after the White Sox score.
  4. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) Because he was on first and Nixon has a good arm.. Thanks. That's what I thought, but someone in the office said he was on 2nd.
  5. Question for those who can watch: Why didn't Iguchi score on Dye's 2 out hit?
  6. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) still waiting on someone to show me bias today...... I have heard them say nothing that is not accurate, nor fair Some people are getting way too worked up over the announcing. Who gives a s*** who Berman is cheering for? Personally, it makes winning games that much sweeter when you stick it to that ego king.
  7. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) 3 run hr by Arow after a leadoff triple and walk! With so many people at working following this thread for updates, don't post s*** like that unless it happens or make it obvious it's a "prediction". Thanks
  8. Rub your eye like crazy, and tell your boss you have pink eye.
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Anyone else think we didn't see the best of Bobby last night at all? I know he's been struggling as of late, and he was throwing a lot of those fastballs high and away last night. Not having a go at him, because he still got the job done, and for a rookie in his 1st season in a high pressure situation, that's fantastic, but Bobby can be better, he can get that curve over in the strike zone more, and he can get that fastball in on the hitters more. I was thinking about this today driving to work. It's amazing how far Jenks has come this year. He was able to get 6 outs against a great hitting/patient teams without anywhere near his best stuff. He was overthrowing his fastball, which made it lose velocity and either cut too much or stay high and up. His curve, besides for one or two, was just rolling to the plate. It's fantastic he was still able to get guys out for 2 innings with just his talent, and nothing else. It's a lot better than seeing a less talented player get burned just cause he doesn't have the stuff to get MLB hitters out. If I was a Red Sox fan, I'd be furious at the terrible Damon AB in the 9th.
  10. The White Sox have a total of 5 men LOB in the first two games of the season.
  11. Berman's an annoying announcer, but some people seem obsessed about nitpicking every thing he says. It reminds me of Illini bball fans that would get pissed about everything Dick Vitale said last season. Who gives a f*** what the announcers say? It's the game on the field that matters!
  12. It would sure be interesting if Wilder got the Arizona GM spot. We've often talked about the DBacks being a big trade possibility with the Sox this offseason. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) When he goes back to his career norms next season, you won't like him as much and neither will the Red Sox. By the way, does anyone remember Graffanino's terrible error in a game against the Cubs when he was still playing for us? It ended up blowing the game for us. A guy on ESPN 1000 brought it up earlier. In extra innings, he forgot to tag Eric Young going into 3rd base on a bunt. Stairs hit a sac fly, and we lost because of it.
  14. QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) Seems like maybe we have a pretty smart manager after all. I wouldn't go that far YET! But it's very nice to see him maintaining his composure during the playoffs so far.
  15. QUOTE(S720 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) Fathom: Did you hear what Harold Reynolds said about Ozzie? Reynolds said that Ozzie was pretty smart of bringing Jenks to face Manny-Power against power. Ozzie knew that once Manny is done, the White Sox would have a chance to win the game since Ortiz has already batted before Manny. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH No, I didn't hear him say that. I liked Jenks facing Manny because he made him look foolish last time he faced him. Honestly, Graffy scared me the most vs Jenks because of three things: 1) trying to make up for the error 2) hit a long homer last time up vs Jenks 3) short, compact swing
  16. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) balta's my man, i was joking. relax. You might of been with balta, but you definitely weren't joking with sleepy.
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) Or in more trouble than the Red Sox are in this series. Red Sox have a better chance of winning this series than Parque would of getting Bonds out.
  18. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) I don't think what I said was suspension worthy, it was a truthful statement, but i'll keep the head up. thanks. You go around calling quality posters like sleepy and balta turds...and you're going to be in more trouble than Jim Parque facing Barry Bonds with the bases loaded.
  19. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) No, in my two years of being on this board it never occurred to me I was on a White Sox board. You are one pathetic turd. Man, if only the White Sox had Bellhorn, they would have won tonight's game so easily. You're a good poster, but I think you're just a little upset tonight. You might want to watch what you say before you get suspended.
  20. I've been bashing him all season, but I LOVED that he kept Jenks in for the 8th and 9th. Jenks didn't even have close to his best stuff, yet he still was able to make tough pitches. A lot of us got annoyed with how Ozzie would use 4 pitchers in an inning during the season. However, Ozzie didn't do that tonight, and made the Red Sox beat our best closer (with Hermanson's bad back). Good job Ozzie
  21. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) so yeah i bet all the cubs fans tell me we "got lucky" for the second straight day. Shouldn't they be busy buying their tickets for spring training 2006?
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Jenks usually does that...he loses like 2 mph in his 2nd inning but he still has good power...he can kick it up to 96 or 97 for 1 or 2 pitches if he needs to but he holds it steady at 95 or above. Jenks fastball was a little slower cause he seemed to be cutting it. A lot of his pitches were just cutting in on the lefty.
  23. 10/6/05 should be the most relaxing, smiles all over day for White Sox fans in a long, long time.
