I'm getting sick and tired of the Indians coming back in all these games where they're down by 4 or 5 runs.
-
Indians have so much confidence coming back in games now, it's not even funny. This would be like the 6th time in the last month they've comeback from at least a 4 run lead to win the game (assuming they hold on to win). This lead is diminishing at a frightening pace (assuming our great offense continues tonight).

Blum fits right in with White Sox players who suck from the right side of the plate when switch hitting.

QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) this magic number might as well be dead. it doesn't move No s***. Where's all those people who were making fun of certain posters who were concerned about the Indians score a few weeks ago?

Indians lead 5-4 after the top of the 7th.
-
Indians have the lead....f***! Lead will be down to 7 likely if we can't score a f***ing run.
-
Maybe our hitters should take a different plan?
-
AJP might as well try to get hit by the pitch, as he's not even close to that change-up.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) Alex Gonzalez contributed to one of the greatest collapses in history in 2003. Cut him a little slack. I was just about to type that. An all-time favorite of mine because of it.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) What happened? Blake flew out, but Alex Gonzalez just bobbled a soft grounder. 4-3, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs.
-
f***ing Alex Gonzalez.

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) Last time, he was having a problem with tipping his change, which caused him to screw up his mechanics. As evidenced by his stats over his starts since going back down, he's fixed those problems. I'd say call him up and give him another shot if none of the regular starters can start that game. I'd also prefer to see him on the playoff roster over Adkins. We wouldn't need 12 pitchers on the playoff roster.

Indians have 2 on, 1 out in the 7th for the red hot Casey Blake.

QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) they're the devil rays..... Can we have their offense then?
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) Guys were traded that could have helped this team. KW is looking for the home run or nothing. Nothing would be a disaster.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) I just think he's doing his job and exploring as many avenues as possible. Let me just ask you this....will you still feel that way if we don't make another trade this season?

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Rowand has a very long swing right now, especially for him. His swing last year was as compact as I have ever seen. Big difference I've noticed in Rowand is that he's been fouling off a TON of good pitches to hit over the first base dugout. Also, he had a lot more doubles down the left field line last season. That all relates back to having too long of a swing this seaosn.

Rowand is getting a lot of good pitches to hit.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) Be a little more realistic than that. You and I both know that Kenny Williams is doing anything to bring offensive help to this team... I disagree w/that. I think they either want to add a superstar like Griffey Jr., or nothing at all. Ozzie also doesn't want to be put in a situation where he'd have to bench Everett or Dye every other night, etc. I just think there are a lot of other players available, who aren't superstars, that could really add to this offense.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) If he is out for awhile the twins are officially done. Hardly

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) Stewart made the play, but it looked pretty routine for a good outfielder. Absolutely. That was vintage Stewart....make a tough play look amazing, and have to leave the game due to injury.

Son of a b****. That ball wasn't gone, but it was the beginning of a big inning. Why does it seem like every game at the Metrodome, our players have warning track power?

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) KW has a week to get another hitter. If he really wants a WS, he has to get at least one. I was going to mention this in one of the many threads on this site dealing with this. When Ozzie and KW say they're comfortable with what we have, that's a problem to me. It just seems like we're a little complacent. Instead of just going with what we have in order to try and make a run in the playoffs, I like the attitude a lot more of adding on to what you have in order to be a better team. Oh well, there's no point of b****ing about it too much.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) When Pablo plays third, doesn't there seem to be an unusual amount of balls hit his way? Yep, and each one looks like it's going to eat him up. Keep doing the job Pablo!

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) It was a blown hit-and-run. But it really wasn't Iguchi's fault. The ball, like I said, hit about a foot in front of the plate. The last pitch, which he struck out on, however -- it was hittable, and he's had a chance to do some good here early on, and has failed twice. Maybe it's time someone starts a thread saying Willie needs to get more playing time at 2nd base. Iguchi went on a tear after that thread last time.
