  1. I was waiting for the first Judy comment. No matter how you say it, this has been a terrible inning. He keeps getting burned with his 2nd or 3rd pitches.
  2. One of the worst innings for Garland all season. Blue Jays seem to have a good plan against him.
  3. PK is locked in right now, and he's doing a much better job at staying on the pitch. AJP is also just a monster at the plate right now. Our 4-5-6 has defnitely caught fire at the perfect time.
  4. Personally, I'm happy to see Buehrle's streak end. Honestly, who ever cared about a streak like this? I think it's a good thing the streak is over, as it might save Buehrle some unnecessary pitches the rest of the season in order to keep the streak going. There was no reason to keep Buehrle in for 6 full innings in his last start by KC where they put up a big crooked number in the 6th inning. Buehrle throws a ton of innings, and I don't think it would be a bad thing if Ozzie plays it safe with him down the stretch (assuming we still have a solid lead).
  5. QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) Why do you keep saying that? Because it's the general consensus within the Tampa organization right now. Tampa has plenty of outfielders, and they'd rather build around Crawford and Young than Rocco.
  6. Thankfully, it's over. Can Viz ever throw a slider that's not a hanger?
  7. Viz just flat out sucks. They're one batter away from getting the tying run to the plate, and Ozzie is busy dicking around with our worst pitcher in the game. And another thing, Iguchi would have turned that DP easily. Ozuna took way too long to get rid of it.
  8. Great, Viz is in, and gives up the leadoff hit. I don't like seeing Viz in here at all.
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 03:26 AM) Who toes the rubber in the 9th? I'd like to see Politte in here, and just go for the stress-free win. I'm not so sure Jenks and Viz give you a good shot at it.
  10. We sure are swinging through a ton of pitches these last few innings.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) Neal does his thing. Bobby in the 9th? I'm thinking Viz or Politte.
  12. Cotts is just phenomenal right now. It was great to see him rebound from going 2-0 on the first batter, and be able to throw strikes. That's the biggest change I've seen from him since he became dominant.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 03:02 AM) Why not save Cotts and let Adkins go 2 innings??? I am prepared to get rippes lol. 5 runs against this offense isn't a guaranteed. We haven't used our pen too much this series. We can't allow them to get a rally going before Tejada bats next inning.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 03:01 AM) fathom, that's why we aren't managers. I know. I'm just happy we got out of that inning with a 5 run lead still. Just for future games, I think he needs to trust our pen more than that.
  15. OK, that's 7 innings Garcia. Put Cotts in for the 8th.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:58 AM) There was the good breaking ball. How about 1 more? Rowand....what's your thoughts? Should Ozzie have pulled Garcia already?
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) I hope he gives up a 3 run dong to let Ozzie know this stupid crap has concequences. Absolutely ridiculous he's still in.
  18. So we pitch around a guy when we're up 5 runs? That's something you don't see every day.
  19. TAKE HIM OUT OZZIE! Am I alone in thinking this is nuts?
  20. Holy cow, he's leaving Garcia in the game? Crazy
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:52 AM) Wow, Freddy looks like s*** tonight. GET HIM OUT Should have been pulled after Byrnes homer.
  22. Why is he still in the game? It's obvious he's hit the wall, and they're hitting rockets against him.
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:51 AM) Did you miss the K-Zone on the pitch???? Must have when I went into the room with the computer.
